I joined in June, so for about a month now. It can be confusing at first, but there are great tips on Steemit. Also check out discord and steemit chat. There are always people there willing to help. Minnow support is a great way to get started. They even have a channel where you can post your blog for a review and get pointers.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
