Steemit as I always say is revolutionary. And is the key to financial independence. Today I will be sharing a few things that someone new to steemit should do to grow on this platform. If you gain from this do the favor of resteeming and upvoting this post.

  1. As a newbie to steemit, contests are what you should begin with, they are a lot of people willing out to give out sbd for participation in these contests. The open mic challenge @lucypher and many contests by @surpassinggoogle help you make a quick sbd. You musnt be the best but if you put effort into this you would have a good recompense.
  2. Grow a follower base. Your followers are the people that end up seeing your posts and when more people see your posts more people can resteem and upvote these posts. To grow these follower bases they are two major ways. Firstly, You could join steemit communities such as @elitesteemians which help you build a follower base and keep you up to date with the latest trends on steemit. Secondly you could follow a large number of people and hope they follow you back as some people do.
  3. They are a lot of bidding pages on steemit called steembots these bots pay upvotes depending on how much you bid. The process is a little tricky and should be ventured into carefully as making the wrong bid could lead you to a major loss. In turn making the right bid could double or even triple your earnings. Bid wisely.
  4. Steemit is a social platform, so in your quest to earn rewards don't forget to make friends and get to know people because these people could make the platform worthwhile. Socialize and share your interests and thoughts.
So these are the basics, don't forget to resteem and upvote and I will be posting more tips later. Happy Steeming.

Happy steeming

I think the main way is to just start by buying lots of steem power.

Steempower helps the people you upvote, so I would recommend you buy that sometime later when you're more conversant with the platform.

Nice advice you have given here for the newbies here. Number 3 is important. You will people in either category- someone will like buying upvotes while others won't. I am not against it but be careful while bidding. Recently the profits from bid bot are very very less.

Hope that newbie will be helpful from your post :)

Very true, the use of these bots has risen really fast. But if you are really cautious at the right time you can make Alot of gain
