This is such BS.... why are some people just out to get you and screw up your life?

Can somebody please tell me how I can stop this from happening?

This is not fair and it is just downright mean, what do you think?

So here goes... When I was first introduced to Steem by @christoryan and convinced to get on steemit.com, he intentionally neglected to inform me that he would always have full control of my keys, of course.
JPEG_20180210_051350.jpg

After a few weeks and so much of my time, energy and literally MY HEART and SOUL, not including countless hours of commenting and editing post, I noticed some transactions, that I, myself, did not do! In my activity, it showed me that some of my steem and sbd had been transferred to a few accounts. Several times! Specifically, @christoryan and @lovecoins. Both of which are owned by Mr. Christopher Ryan Butler himself, along with many other usernames, I might add. That's when I first realized he was literally USING ME for financial gain, without my KNOWLEDGE, or MY CONSENT! That's right folks...your reading it right, HE NEVER EVEN ASKED, or at least warned me!

20180314_113600.jpg

He clearly saw my passion in this, and my yearning for more good content and knowledge I was receiving from steemit.com, and totally took advantage of it... took complete advantage of me! I guess he thought I was an idiot, and would never look at my history or activity. When I brought this to his attention (In person by the way), that I knew what was going on, I started to cry. I felt so Betrayed and played like some kind of puppet. I think he might have even felt satisfaction, now that I'm thinking about it, or at least relief. Now it was all out there on the table, and he didn't have to muster up the courage to tell me himself.

What a COWARD. He is a straight up PUSSY, if you ask me!

Now, I am not completely oblivious. I know that this is legal and so many people do it this way, but that still doesn't make it morally right. Once I figured that out, I realized I would never get to know exactly how much steem I had earned myself or what was truly mine, verses what he was sending and receiving Steem and SPD with my account. It absolutely broke my heart, and even ALMOST made me quit! I was fairly frustrated and extremely discouraged, to say the least. He was and _still is_using my account for his Day Trading.

My question is, "Don't I get a say so in all of this?" Is there even an option for me to gain full control of my own account, or am I stuck being his puppet and his profit as well? He has Vessel, and my account is one of many that he controls, apparently. Does anyone have any answers for me? Can somebody please help me here, or possibly steer me in the right direction? Seeing as I've been on Steemit and Busy for almost a year now, investing my time amd enegry, I think I deserve to control my own account. My "Blood, sweat and tears", as they say, are invested in this, and I will NOT just sit here and do nothing, I can tell you that much!

As soon as I'm done with this post, I'm going to get on Discord and see if anyone can help me there as well. You should come and join me with @dobartim and @flysky in Steem School https://discord.gg/5g6p7FJ ! I can guarantee if nothing else, you will at least gain some very useful knowledge, if you join that is!

You should immediately change your main password, so that you get new keys. In order to do so you need your current Steemit password of course:

https://steemit.com/change_password

To see all transfers that have been made from your account you can visit https://steemworld.org/@yoitsme, scroll down to 'Tools -> Transfer Search' and put in your account name:

Much luck & take care of your keys!

This is the best option,
The next best option is start a new account.

If he's got the original password and / or the e-mail account the account holder joined up from, will she actually be able to change the password herself?

I think she needs a new account.

Account recovery may not be possible any more but changing the master password is. The trace leads to 'koh', since he created the account. We will keep an eye on his accounts and take further steps after investigation.

Of course, starting a new account would be the next step to consider.

What's up @steemchiller good to see you around working. Love steemworld. We lost the master pass so I will attempt the account recovery method. I have been trying to recover accounts that were created and are still in Vessel on Linux. I've tried the some of the db files although didn't do it right =D If you can help I'll be at http://SteemPunks.live (discord) .. Also do you know how long the recovery process takes?

I don't know if/how Vessel stores the master password. If you lost the master key and there is no way to extract it from Vessel, I guess there is no better way than starting a new account. Maybe the developer of the tool (@jesta) can help you.

I would recommend that she creates a new account via the normal registration process on Steemit.

Thanks for the reply. Her account is safe other than no one having the master pass lol

@steemchiller I'm going to try that out! Hopefully, I will be able to change the password. If not, then I guess I will have no other option than to start a new account. That makes me really sad though, I must admit.

Since you don't have access to your master password, I recommend that you create a new account via the normal registration process on Steemit. And please don't give your password and keys to anyone from now on! Always log in with your private posting key and keep the most important keys (master password & private owner key) in a so called 'Cold Storage' (safe place, not on your PC).

If you have your master password, change it now --> https://steemit.com/change_password

@fbslo Thanks... I will check it out and give it a try.... I will do a post on the update and I'll let you know how it goes.

Sounds like he says / she says.

Start a new account. And maybe take a look at what you're signing up for?

Good luck.

@zool237 what sounds like he said/she said?

Your version of events as opposed to his (which obviously I've not heard). Maybe, he'll drop by and 'fess up to everything. Maybe he'd say something totally different on the other hand. Maybe you're in it together (even).

So, it's hard for anyone to really know what happened without more evidence and hearing both sides of the story. If everything is exactly as you say it is, move on and pick your friends more carefully in the future? It does sound like a horribly naive thing for you to have done - letting him keep the keys if that is indeed what happened. But I guess people like that do actually exist.
The world's full of shitbags though so if you don't want to keep getting mugged off, you're going to have to wisen up. Sooner or later.

Once more, good luck.

And it's almost like it's a 'made-for-steemit' drama if you don't mind me saying. I mean, the photos you've posted....

Edit: And let's face it, you lost pennies.

@zool237 The pictures were taken during my first month on steemit and yes, I was very passionate about it and excited (the reason I posted these particular ones). What's wrong with that? Also, it's NOT about the money to me, at all! That's not the point! Self-worth is a better word I guess! As far as me being naive, you were right about that, as I had never even heard the word Cryptocurrency at that point in time, or Blockchain for that matter. I didn't quite understand the whole KEYS thing and the importance of them, other than do not lose them!

I am confused you said you have poured over a year into this.
Your account was created in Feb 2018

@simplegame I meant to say almost a year sorry, and yes I will definitely spend a little more time researching things before I jump into then from now on!

Yeah I’d start a new account if you can’t break free from this one completely. If you have to go that route, lmk and I’ll delegate a small portion of Steem to you for a bit to help get the new account started and give you a leg up.

@blewitt Thank you for your offer! I will surely let you know if and when I do decide to do that.... very much appreciated!!

Anytime!!! Good luck!!!

first off! you're wrong... That account was created through @christoryan so it's his account.. second, the account was not transferred using @christoryan but instead it was done through @koh... So get your facts straight and quit posting shit about people when you don't know what you're talking about.

Hahah hey Ryan....your not fooling me

@koh said he spoke with you..?

also, if you just figure out how to get your master password then all would be ok i'm sure..

hmmm, yeah...

Just draw a line under it and make a new account. Right now you have a Reputation of 45 and 7 dollars in your wallet - so whats the big problem?

I'm sorry to hear that.
You can contact me directly on steem.chat (as Gandalf )
I'll do my best to guide you through the process of ensuring that you have a full control of your account if it's possible.

(I'm not upvoting this post just because at this moment we don't know who has ability to control potential rewards. Hopefully it's you.)
