Reading your post, I cannot help but have a deep sense of appreciation of the fact that steemit is running on a decentralized platform. The last thing that I would want is for someone like you or me to police this platform based on our respective moral/social sensibilities. I'm sure Youtube started off with the intent of providing a free and flexible medium for content creators but that is becoming less and less the case as they push to become as family and ad friendly as possible - at the expense of creative freedom.

May steemit remain free from oligarchy forever :)
