I'm quite new here and I've noticed posts somehow are not being upvoted by their quality, there is some kind of strategy behind all this and it's not people liking a post or not...

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    You are right. The concept is this one : rewarding you by sorting the content which can be big. With everything it implies... Maybe should I lower my enthusiasm about Steemit then!
