The Schollenen Gorge in the Uri Canton, Switzerland, was once a dangerous canyon for travelers. And in the local legend, the inhabitants of Canton have done a great deal of effort to build bridges over the valley, but the donkeys carrying building materials continue to fall from the top of the mountain. After they feel frustrated, they finally make a deal with the devil. The devil also proposed a condition almost the same as some of the above stories, namely asking the rewards of the soul of the person who first crossed the bridge. After the villagers agreed, the demon finished the bridge on the next day waiting for the first person to cross the bridge.

And still almost the same as the story above, a farmer sent his goat to cross the bridge. The devil was angry and immediately tore the goat into 100 parts. And still with his anger, the devil went down the mountain to find the biggest rock he could find and took it slowly up the mountain. Frightened, finally an elderly lady from the local population approached the demon who was carrying a large stone with a face that looked tired. The old lady made a cross on the rock, so the devil could not move the stone. Because he found it difficult to move the big rock, finally the devil went back to hell because he felt ashamed. And now, the Teufelsbrucke Bridge is also known as the "Devil's Bridge," and the big rock left behind is now called the "Devil Stone".
