World Rotaract Week Celebration 2018

The Rotary International (R.I.) is a group of leaders who are geared towards creating humanitarian programs and projects. One of which is the Rotaract club who also share the same passion for service and making a difference in the world. World Rotaract Week is celebrated every 2nd week of the month of March. In this year the celebration has its theme saying:"50 years of Making A Difference in Fellowship through Service". Iligan CIty is blessed with Rotaract clubs and in this year, the celebration has participated with a total of 5 Rotaract CLubs- Iligan East, Iligan Bay, Iligan Maria Cristina, Downsouth Iligan and Uptown Iligan.

Last Sunday (March 11, 2018), the Rotaract Clubs of District 3870, Zone 2, kicked-off the celebration of the World Rotaract Week with a motorcade around the city proper.

Photos were taken during the motorcade of the Rotaract Clubs of Iligan City.

The Motorcade ended at the City Public Plaza where the kick-off program was held together with the Iligan-Lanao Action for Wellness, City Health Office and Philippine Red Cross Iligan for the Si HIVa at si AIDa: free HIV Screening/ Counseling and Mahadan 3.0 Blood Donation Drive.

Currently, I am the President of the Rotaract Club of Iligan Maria Cristina. The photo shows the members of our club while bringing our club banner during the celebration. This Rotaract year/term is coming to an end and I am so grateful to have served and helped the community together with this awesome organization. Cheers to more years and activities for the community! :)

Basically, this year's celebration is filled with activities for the whole week starting from the kick-off program last March 11, up to each club's projects/activities from March 12-16 up to the "Laro ng Lahi" event on March 17 for the Rotaract Club members as the conclusion of the whole celebration.

I would just like to thank all Zone 2 Rotaract clubs for the collaborative effort in making this celebration a huge success! Thank you to the Rotaract Representatives, Presidents and Directors who became the driving force of this kick-off event. Job well done everyone! Our preparations weren't that perfect but still, we pulled this whole thing off and looking forward to our activities for the coming week. Let us continue to support each other and together we make a difference!
