Apology To Steemit

in steemitapology •  7 years ago

I apologize to the Steemit community for the copy/paste offense. The violation was a misunderstanding as I thought citing material was sufficient; and therefore, will not happen again as now I know the 50% original content preference. I appreciate being a part of our growing international family and hope that we can continue to learn and support one another in achieving our endeavors.

I am in the appeals process.

The thing is that a person whose all posts are actually his/her original creation is having to suffer while people doing far worse are getting away.

I get the technical part of the offense but is this even a offense. So the bot is going to scan just one post and leave hundreds of others and then pronounce a judgement in the wrong. This suspiciously looks like a witch hunt.

In fact I am sorry that you have to apologize at all.

You shouldn't have to appeal at all. You followed all the rules listed on Steemit welcome page. If there was any offense, it would be that cheetah bot itself is a spamming bot. Another offense is that @steemcleaners has made their own rules that is not in compliance with Steemit welcome page. Yet another offense is that in the appeals process, it took 9 days to even respond to the official platform where the appeal process is to take place. @anyx, you let the bot run a muck and you are sleep at the wheel. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I looked at senseicat's blogs. It does appear that she followed Steemit welcome page rules. There was always some of her own content.

I realize that cheetah was trying to do be the best bot it could be, but someone behind the bot should have been working to check if the bot was correct when someone asks for it to be checked.

@senseicat, you shouldn't have to apologize for following the rules. bad cheetah for bullying!

The atrocious Welcome page and then the FAQ will hopefully (if Steemit Inc accepts) soon be updated. @socky are you on either Discord or steem chat?

You are about good person...

Apologizing is from wise people

Regards

Together friends, hopefully we always try to post the best for steemit friends. make ourselves, the creativity of our own work, may you succeed.

Upvoted, acknowledged and I sent you a direct message on steem chat.

The important thing is that you learned your mistake and didn't do it again! Come on there's still a lot to do :)

Hmm, didn't know this either, until... now.
I like to cite passages as well, but have been (it seems) lucky enough to not cross the 50% border.

I hope your entry on the blacklist is erased soon.

You have to be careful even if you have good intentions.
Steemit Bots are very powerful. (Bot = no feelings) ;)
