I know that there has been an attempt in the past, but I don't know why it didn't work. I'm sure that are plenty of us here on Steemit.
Let's show them what we've got!
Because this is my first Art Challenge the theme will be
STEEMIT
(it should include at least the steemit logo). Maybe we could raise more awareness if you post your art on other social media and tag it.
THE RULES
1. Please create new artwork. You need to show at least three photos during the process(initial sketch, midway, the finished piece)
2. Tag your entry #steemitartchallenge
3. Write in the title SteemitArtChallenge Entry
4. I want to see
Painting and Related Techniques
Drawing(pencil, ink, pastel, etc)
on paper or other physical medium (no digital painting this time)
5. Your own original artwork only!
THE PRIZES
First Place — 50 Steem Dollars
Second Place — 30 Steem Dollars
Third Place — 20 Steem Dollars
The prizes will be funded by me. It's a way of giving back to fellow artist that maybe are still struggling. I hope you enjoy this contest and I look forward for your entries.

The winners will be announced in a new post after a few days.

I paint in a trance and don't know where my painting is going end up in the end so showing in between stages would be pointless...sorry...how about just a normal competition of finished works?

I'm in favor of this art challenge. Unfortunately, I can't make the Aug. 15 challenge because I just found this post and it's already Aug. 15. I'll participate weekly if it's in a medium I'm in possession of, e.g., watercolor, pen & ink, pencil.
