What are YOU Grateful for TODAY? - #GratitudeTrain No. 37

in steemitbloggers •  6 years ago

Do you ever just stop for a moment and take yourself back? I mean take yourself back to years ago when you were a lot younger - to contemplate just how far you have come, how many challenges you have fought your way through, how many obstacles you have overcome, how many times you have doubted yourself yet succeeded anyway and just how much inner strength you truly have just for standing where you are now?! I don't think many of us actually do that often enough. Our lives and stories may all differ vastly, but there is one common thread between each and every one of us, and that is that we have all been through a lot and it is ALL relative.

Taking that little "inner journey" in itself is a massive thing to be grateful for.

Welcome to the #GratitudeTrain No. 37

Today I am grateful that I am able to recognize my inner strength exercised throughout my life.

What is the purpose of The Gratitude Train?

......

I am of the firm belief that the habit of practicing gratitude on a daily basis is the key to shifting our lives in a positive direction. This is not only the expression of gratitude for the positive things in our lives, but also for the challenges which we are often faced with.

But sometimes, we can get wrapped up in our day to day existence and agenda, and it is not that we aren’t grateful, but rather that we simply forget to actually verbalise it or take the time to offer it a moment of dedication even in thought.

It is also true that surrounding yourself with the positive attitudes and mind-set of others, that it has a ripple effect on yours too…

So for ALL of us, including myself, I have decided to start this #gratitudetrain. We all spend a good portion of our lives here browsing through our Steemit feeds, so why not build a positive habit in the process. I think it will be great to share something every day that we are grateful for in our lives, no matter how big or small it may be.

Whether it is a new career path, a new hobby, an achievement of your child, a new relationship, a challenge overcome or simply a new pair of shoes… it doesn’t matter! There is without question… ALWAYS something we can take a moment to be grateful for!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

......

Step 1.
So starting today, in the comments section of #gratitudetrain post No. 1 – write something that you are grateful for in your life and start it with the number… as in if this is the first time you are sharing on the #gratitudetrain, then write the number “1.” And then state what you are grateful for.

Step 2.
Keep a record of your #gratitudetrain expressions shared in the comments somewhere in a word doc or such.

Step 3.
When you reach 30 – then publish a post on your own profile and be sure to use the #gratitudetrain tag or to tag me @jaynie in the post.

As simple as that!

The idea of this being, that not only will you develop a healthy and positive habit but at the end of 30 days when you share your own post, you will be able to reflect back and realise, just how MUCH GOODNESS there is in your life!

I am grateful to find this post. I tend to be forgetful sometimes.
Remembering to be grateful I do every day it is a habit.
Posting is a good idea.

Too true hon!!! TOO TRUE!!!! I do it for myself too not just all of you hehehehe ;)

I actually did that a few days ago, in a way - I was sitting at my computer, drinking a Guinness, and shuffling my Tarot cards. I suddenly thought, "Hey, 20 year old self who used to daydream about being able to have this at our disposal (albeit the computer was a book...LOL) - look where we are now! 😊

#37 - Today, I am grateful for the fact that even when money is tight (which is more often than not), we always find ways to make due. Sometimes, the Universe even conspires to drop things (like big tips or unexpected opportunities) into our laps. It's not always easy to remember when our family is struggling, but things usually happen for a reason and everything eventually turns out just fine.

And it is for this innate WISDOM that I love you!

I am grateful to be on Steemit and to meet you, You are one of the first I am introducing myself to. I am only a couple of hours old...a very brand new minnow steemian. I am following you @jaynie. I hope we can stay connected and be friends. I will be only posting about all things women.

Welcome to Steemit :)

Today I am grateful to my brother who has supported me in every downfall. I talked to him and he is such a gentleman. Real relationships are very rare if you find one, Feel Grateful to them.

I'm grateful for all the furry little friends I have in my life. Mainly cats. We do have 3 dogs too. Besides our 7 cats, we have Grandmas 4 cats, and like the 20 outside feral cats LOL. They all keep me sane and busy HA HA. Long story short, we don't have a rodent problem. Which is good.

hahahaha!!! AWESOME!!! Well your life is DEFINITELY not lacking in the unconditional love department then either ;)
