MarketFriday - The Fleece Aquarium shop

The little Fish home called "Aquarium" along the roadside.

image

While roaming today afternoon in our village market, I came across a set of people selling colorful Fish in small Glass bowl. The glass bowl was also well filled with colorful stone pebbles and looking very attractive.

image

The vendors selling these small glass aquarium are not from our place and came especially to sell in our areas. They holding the jar in their hand shouting in the street. Once it surprrse me , as they shouting it to be "Small Sea Fish" They have three fish in the bowl. Two Orange and one black or Two Black and One Orange

image

They are carrying a carton on their head and having multiple Glass jar. They are also offering the fish food along with the small glass Aquarium. For once I thought of buying them but the cost is too much and I doubt that Fish can survive long in those small Jars.

image

These kind of fleece market are very rare to find in our area. We are very far off from sea area, and we saw these vendors first time. Also those colorfull Fish are very rare to find in our. Good to see some colorfull afternoon in our area.

image

Many people loves to keep the Fish tank nearby so that to bring good luck and fortune in their life. These local vendors carters the need of such people. But these hardly survive in fresh water. Also it is hard to keep them alive for long. Not sure if they are really sea fish but they looks beautiful in those small glass jar. Shining and attractive.

Beautiful Fish home..
Nice photographs of The Fleece Aquarium shop...

I can honestly say... I have ever seem anyone sell fish along side a road. how.. different

Then i would say you must visit India. Not only this small aquarium but also the fish from river and ponds are sold on the streets. Basically in the market...and are sold openly. Would share some when come across...

I wished they can survived in someones care...

These little creature need water world to survive..but been treated in small glass jar...hard to swim inside

Posted using Partiko Android

they look very pretty, but it's kind of sad how they're being treated... The bowl looks a bit too small for them as u had pointed out (plus bowls arent the best for fish either)

Thats true...only attractiveness is not the best way to treat these small fish....but people bought them findig them quite handy

Isn't it crazy what pops up in local markets? And fish for good luck ... very interesting :) These look really pretty/colorful, but like you, I wonder how long they can live in those little jars. Kind of sad at the same time. I'm always amazed though, at how differently things are "done" around the world. Thank you for sharing this @steemflow!

I LOVE reading posts like this. It's so neat to be able to see things from a different perspective. We see these all the time in the US, so to be able to see it through your eyes is quite the treat. :-)

The good news?

They can live a long time in that small bowl if you feed them and clean the bowl from time to time.

Yess...care that what is more required. Thanks for the wonderful comment

I hope you get a fish someday!

So colorful.

Interesting post with great photos! Taking care of fish in your home would be a bit of work and a commitment, as with any live pet.

Oh man! I hope these fish get bigger homes!

I had no idea they sold fish like this out on the street! This is quite different, and that is awesome! #MarketFriday post!

I must say that they look more like goldfish see here and if that is true, they are fresh water.

Thank you for adding a piece of your culture here on #MarketFriday!! Thank you!

If they are really sea fish, I am surprised they were even alive. From what I understand, it takes special tanks and such to keep saltwater fish alive in a tank.

I wonder if they just travel from town to town trying not to go too fast over pot holes.
