Sunday Multivitamins | A Healthy Weekend

Recently, @joannewong and I have been discussing about getting fit for events so that we don't have to 'drag' our bodies or suck our tummies when wearing tighter shirts. Well yea, tighter cause we've kinda grown out of it the 'horizontal' way.

I remember the other time when it prompted me to go to the gym was when my office building had a fire drill. We had to exit a flight of stairs and my office was pretty high up. The following day, my whole body was aching like nobody's business and I realized I NEEDED to exercise. For a guy at 25 years old and aching because of going down a few steps of stairs shows how unhealthy I am. Hence, I went to the gym.

In this case, we both wanted a more healthy lifestyle so that we can enjoy life longer without being sick all the time. So we've started our 'Weekly Saturday - Fats Be Gone' Regime.

This is us after successfully finished, a full body workout. Not so much on leg-day. But we pretty much did the treadmill, stretching, toning, planking and a lot more. @aaronleang also joined us to stay fit! Though weight and tummy fat isn't his issue. We all need that healthy lifestyle.

This is the view from the gym. Tell me now... who wouldn't love love love to be staying healthy and seeing such beautiful view like this. We were already talking about what to eat for lunch 10 minutes into jogging. Hahaha, we are such failures.... :D

TADA!!! This was our Saturday lunch! We were going full-on health freaks that we decided to go simply green. The salad was really tasty after the exercise. Basically anything u put in your mouth tastes good when you're starving. But these salad meals come in huge portion and it was just enough for me. Surprisingly, I didn't feel hungry that quickly after that too.

This is my 'Ceaser Royale Salad' + Garlic Bread and medium dressing.

Ingredients :
Romaine Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Boiled Egg, Red Onion, Olives, Croutons, Turkey Ham Bits, Parmesan Cheese, Cajun Chicken and Caesar Dressing.

You can even customized your own salad when you're given the menu form. This Salad is @aaronleang's salad which looks really good as well.

After having our lunch, we decided to go get some toys for Jansen, @iamjadeline's son who's in the hospital. As visiting times were over till 5PM, I decided to crashed at @aaronleang's place to 'post'. I eventually fell asleep right on the sofa bed.

Meet Tiger... He woke me up exactly at 5pm by kissing me... When I opened my eyes, he was just next to me and meowed at me... Boy Tiger, you are fat too man, you better get the gym-ing. XD

Moving forward.... my whole body feels like an old man now. I can barely lift my arms and everything I do, a muscle hurts. Signs of no exercise for a long time. Would be going to keep in shape and stay healthy from here on out because there will be 'VERY EXCITING THINGS' coming soon on my blog. I think it's just me being excited. :P

When your muscle hurts, it means you are pushing your muscles to build.

Isn't there a saying, "no pain, no gain"?

The first 48 hours you will feel like you might need to walk like a duck (if you have done too much leg exercises). Try feed some potassium into your body in the morning (bananas) and Vit C could help you with your recovery even faster.

You are only 25, your will be able to get right back ASAP. I can assure you.

And keep it up with @joannewong and @aaronleang . I don't do full set recently and I realised I am kind of sloppy too (hence falling sick with my blisters I suppose) but I still try to do at least 15 mins to 30 mins workout in alternate days during week days since I have a gym I can go before heading off to work.

I am rooting on you guys! Next time need to drag @chloephuan93 along too. We tried lifting up a hospice mobile bed end on Thursday night and I realised I need more weight lifting as well haha. Chloe was totally trying hard but not an inch moved while her YA friend (female I tell you!) easily lifted with 1 arm and did some fixing when she accidentally took out one end of the bed frame haha.

Speaking of super powers .... I was actually terrified and astonished of her ability haha.

Therefore I am sure you can too very soon @zord198 !

Manyak pain every part of the body now haha.. Oh look another Saturday coming soon 🙈

Keep going @aaronleang ! You can do it! Take banana after 30 minutes full workout. The potassium is very good for repairing muscle strains.

@littlenewthings, my shoulder and back sore already. Now can feel thigh sore too. Felt old already. Walao eh. lifted using 1 arm only? Geng!

try use some warm or cold treatment on your sores, otherwise yoko-yoko is also effective if you don't mind the smell @joannewong :)

I could only lift up about 1 inch up off the bed frame of the fully metal mobile hospice bed. That girl literally lifted I think at least 3 inches up until the end got lose and the holder fell off, the good part is it is easily re-assembled otherwise the pastors are going to scream. hahaha.

(This is for the Easter event. @chloephuan93 is playing a part. You guys should totally come over to see though I have to be in Ipoh for Ching Ming and taking my mom to the hospital)

As @littlenewthings mentioned, no pain no gain. Working out after a million years of being a lazy bump is definitely going to tear you apart. But, after some days, you'll definitely feel great! Don't stop! Keep on going!! I've started my workout plan and it's already working. Now I came out a new plan on dietary and it's going to be torture whenver I see delicious food!

Nice!!! will be fit in few months time :)

Wow!!! I see the salad... LOL... skip the gym part... =_=... I know I know... I can hear @awakentolife "screaming" at me... You need to get off your butt and get those leg moving!!! LOL... I have a lot of extra weight on me and how I wish I can pass them to @aaronleang!!!!!

hahahha @elizacheng. I would never be screaming... I would just stare at you for a long time without saying anything. But, soon enough you would get the message before me saying a thing.. looool

Soon I am starting those workout videos and posts and it would be awesome if you joined in. They will be literally for everybody. If you are just starting or in regular practice. And, yes, I want you to start taking care of your body little better. And, you WILL. You only need to START. Once you feel the energy and how much better you will feel you will never want to go back. :)

OMG... has your regime for ladies started @awakentolife ? I totally been so busy and unwell I have not been checking on your posts hahaha..

@elizacheng , @awakentolife is right on that. You have to take that first step, endure the next 48 hours, try a little again and keep the body active all the way.

I was rather sloppy after the long CNY celebration (although I didn't eat much) and it just slows down my body. Yesterday I went straight back to the gym, sweat and feels much lighter after that too.

Keep it up with the gym-ing. Muscle pain may last for night but joy comes when we no longer need to suck some parts in. Hahahah! Talking to myself about this too :P

This is great! I've also started trying to get into an exercise plan lately. It's a slow start for me though; I need an exercise buddy! Although joanne does not look impressed in that first pic! Haha. Good luck on your journey!
