Been a good week really. Apart my daughter's tantrum about coming second in the sports day running race, not first! Understandable, she's a determined little mite. I don't want to make too much of a deal about it , as not necessarily a bad trait to have. Wrote a bit of poetry. Have a furniture delivery coming today, so most of tomorrow will be assembling that. That's my week in a nutshell.

Yes its a lot of fun. The dice are great you can use them for telling stories as well. My kids like to do that. I try include the kids in Steemit too. Hazel comes up with some interesting meme ideas lol. One day I'll get around to setting them up an account, but maintaining two accounts will take twice as much work. I will also be part of @poeticdreams soon to help identify and highlight some underrated poets.

Damn I'm dying to be near a real camp fire.
The city laws where I am are to strict and I can't have a fire pit near or around where my house is...
I'm traveling to NFLD tho next week and will be doing my share of Camping and sitting next to the fire.

Yes, got six weeks of entertaining my two little uns from next weekend. I'm thinking camping could be a fun venture for a couple of days. Got a trip to France planned and a London weekend with a friend I've not seen in years.

I went to take a nap because I love sleeping during the rain and woke up at midnight. That was not a short hour or two nap! Oppps.

Was a really productive week for me. I dare say I am now ahead of schedule after making this post. I Lost ~7lbs as well so I am rather happy about that.

I started to look into alt cryptocurrency and I swear most of them sound similar. Having a hard time understanding why most of these have any value at all since they all might as well be the same. Therefor redundant to the nine degree and pointless.

Hahahaha, Bob the Statist will be so impressed that the internet friends and magic money turns out to be real LOL.

I thought of you today, I saw something at a store that made me think of my time out at bible colleges across the prairies and one of the guys gave me a legit old skool MN North Star toque when I left as a gift. I saw one similar today, made me think of you.

I found some more cheap bushcrafty wool (thin, smaller) car blankets today, I love me some bushcraft wool.

My friend got them for me.

My pleasure, man! It should be there by mid-week. I hope you enjoy it! Oh, the North Stars go way back! I'm not much of a hockey fan myself because I wasn't raised with it (born/raised in Ohio). I like wool too! I have a good collection of thick wool sweaters for winter and a wool navy peacoat for those frigid winter days. Nothing beats it. We ended up skipping it last night. I'm watching Oliver Stone's documentaries on US history. He gives a totally different perspective from what we've been taught. I also watched the documentary Extraordinary...it was thought provoking in a different way. I haven't seen Ripper Street. Murder mystery?

That sounds like a good thing to watch. I hardly watch any TV at the moment, looking for something to wind down an evening with. Problem is I sit down and promptly fall asleep! Ripper Street into 5th season now, but started off with a take of the Jack Ripper story and lots of secrets getting uncovered and covered up. So murder, mystery and dodgy coppers really, set in London. Gripping when you get into it.

Boy is that fire welcome tonight. It's downright chilly! We've had a stiff breeze out of the north and down across Lake Michigan all day. The best part of that is not having to use the A/C.

Ha I wish I don't have to use the AC! Even had to turn off the solar panels to the pool. The water was starting to exceed 90 degrees the other week.

Wow, that is intense!

We're in an odd spot just at the southern tip of Lake Michigan and it messes with us all the time, depending on wind direction and humidity. Eighty degree swings are not uncommon. We just try to be flexible. Lol!

Indeed I like the weekends for that reason. My feed is almost to a dead stop right now. I get to just enjoy going around and seeing what I’ve missed from my follower for the week.

It is true.

There are continually things that need to be addressed. The issues with the voting/rewards has never been properly addressed and we are seeing this yet again with the latest HF / HardFork. It has been discouraging to say the least, retaining members continues to be a problem.

I'm here to stay. I love the community here and there are some lovely people here that I'd never have met in my day to life, or indeed on Facebook. Rewards are nice and of course I'd be lying if I said I didn't want more, but the interactions I'd had here have really helped put me a better place and there is no price that can be put on that.

Awesome days for me here at steemit since day 1 @barrydutton
People are supporting me with what they have to offer and it eased my burdens greatly especially in the coming months where I need some money for my med needs as my insurance will end and will have to start anew next year God-willing.
I had some sweet ham and rice for dinner today, I always enjo food now because my appetite returned to normal, I couldn't be more thankful.
The steemit community is the best.
