THE PEOPLE OF GOD

How, then, will they invoke the one in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in the one they have not heard of? And how can they hear without a preacher? Romans 10: 14-15 We are the people of God and therefore we must bring light to every person. There are numbers of people in the world who have not yet heard of Jesus Christ and how they will believe if there is no one who preaches to them. With the movement "The Church on the Street" Maturin-Venezuela I have been able to perceive more closely the need of people to hear the good news. Many times when we are preaching one of the questions we ask people is did you hear about Jesus Christ and the great sacrifice he made on the Cross of Calvary to give us life in abundance ?, I felt sad to hear his response when they say NO It is the first time that they tell me about Jesus. Upon hearing this answer I wonder what is happening that the Church is not fulfilling the Great Commission. Many times the day scheduled to preach the word are thousands of problems, excuses or simply say the message of salvation should only be carried out by the ministry of evangelism and as I belong to the ministry of deacons, teachers, worship in the church I do not attend, no We do the work that the Lord entrusted us with. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, to send laborers into his harvest. Matthew 9:38

On many occasions the day that I had to go out to preach, I felt exhausted, broken of health and it has crossed my mind not to attend the evangelism; but when I remember the need that people have to listen to a message of peace, I gather courage and attend. At the end of the evangelism I thank God for not having stayed at home and for the number of people that day accepted Christ as their only true Savior.
On one occasion when I get home, he calls me one of the people who had been preached to, informing me that he had a lot of time presenting nightmares and listening to a voice telling him to take his own life. Brothers remember that we do not fight against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this century, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly regions. Ephesians 6:12

And how will they preach if they are not sent? How is it written? How beautiful are the feet of those who announce peace, who proclaim good news.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired by God, so that you may proclaim the virtues of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
You who once were not a people, but who are now the people of God; that once you had not received mercy, but now you have obtained mercy.
