MY SCHOOL, MY SECOND HOME..

San Miguel Central School- My Home Away From Home

I didn't expect that I would be teaching at the same school I had learned my first A, B, C. Yes, I am a product of this school. I am so happy when I got transferred to this school after 3 years of stay in my previous school. I have so many memories here as a kid and even as a teacher.. This is where I met my respected teachers, my good friends and my super-cool principal which happened to be my adviser when I was in Grade Six.

My First School Assignment

When I was a newly-hired teacher, I was assigned to a far-away school. Back then, the road was really very hard and bumpy. It was also very muddy when it rains.

It was really heart-breaking when typhoon comes because this is what our school would look like after even just a weak storm.

There was nothing that I could do but to cry everytime there was a typhoon because I know all of my things in my classroom would be damaged again and would be washed out. We can't do much because the school is located just beside a big river.

Thanks to some volunteers, we could at least clean it and save some things for our school.

That is one of my reasons why I decided to transfer to another school which is near to my house and a school which could not be easily damaged by a typhoon.

I'm so thankful that after two tries, my wish was granted and I was given a chance to transfer to the biggest school in our place.

My School Now..

At first I thought it would be easy for me to do my job when I first came to my school. However, I was really shocked to face 62 pupils from the last section of the 4th grade with the worst attitude and the least performing one. They were the worst class I had ever handled. But thank God I survived.

I've been here for at least three years already. I'm still handling the last section in Grade 4. But at least my pupils are good in class. Even if they are in the last section, their performance can be compared with the other class.

P.s. If you are struggling in your life, do not loose hope. You should always hold on to the idea that "There is a rainbow always after the rain." Just like me, I thought I would not be able to transfer to another school after my first try of applying for transfer since other applicants are way older than me and have much more experiences than me. But I did not loose hope. I tried applying again and well, I did it.
