Writing an exam or a test can be stressful, but if you are prepared and do certain things, it may help your to be more calm. You do not want to stress so much that you forget what you studied.
Lets look at a few easy steps to help you get through the exam: (these are extra steps besides the obvious you have to study one☺☺☺)
You know in advance which day your exam is, so make sure that you get yourself ready the evening before. Make sure you pack at least two pens and pencils and if you need a calculator and ruler. Nobody wants to run out of ink in the middle of the exam. Pack your stuff and also make sure your clothes are ready. If you can start the day off without running around and searching for stuff, you will already be calmer and have an advantage.
Starting your day off with something to eat is a good idea. You do not have to eat a 3 course breakfast, but eat something wholesome that will keep you full for a while. You do not want to write an exam with a growling stomach and feel so hungry that you cannot concentrate.

Do not wait until the last minute before you go to school or your examination center. Anything can happen on the road there and you do not want to be late, because that will just cause you to stress more. Do not be the one who causes yourself more and unnecessary stress. You must try and remain as calm as possible.
It is fine to be a little nervous, that gives you enough adrenaline to get through the exam but do not dwell on the nervous feeling your have. The more you concentrate on it, the more you will feel stressed out. It is also a good idea not to talk about the exam with others. They may mention something which you do not know or forgot to study and then you will just worry - it is too late now to study something else, so if you speak to your friends, talk about other things to get your mind off the exam. Especially stay away from people who are very stressed out or negative - you do not want them to 'rub off' on you.
Believe in yourself. Believe that you did your bit and studied and prepared yourself to the best of your ability. Not all of us are 'A students' and that is fine, you do not have to be in competition with anybody than yourself. If you do your best then it is great. Your best must always be good enough for you.
Make sure you go to the bathroom before you start your exam. If you have to go halfway through, you will maybe not get permission or it will just break your concentration.
Before you go in, take a few deep breaths and close your eyes for a moment. This will make you feel calmer.
If you do not know the answer to a question straight away, go on to the next question. You can always come back to the one you left out or maybe halfway through the test, without even thinking about it, the answer will pop into your head.
Pace yourself and do not rush through the questions. You will have enough time if you work at a steady pace and if you try and work too fast, you may not read carefully or miss some of the questions.
If you are done, congratulate yourself for finishing in time, hand in your paper after you checked it for mistakes and leave the exam room.I
It is not going to help you to sit around and worry what your results are going to be. Move on. Once the results come out you can deal with it then, but worrying the whole time is not going to help you to study for the next subject. 'Whats done is done'.
