Once you are done with school or University, you will have to apply for a job. Most institutions expect a CV that you will send in to tell them more about yourself.
This is a very important document and you need to take care in writing/typing it in such a way that they would want to look at it - they do not know you, so this is the document that will tell them more about you.
Curriculum Vitae
a brief account of a person's education, qualifications, and previous occupations, typically sent with a job application.
A CV is normally written according to a specific format, under certain headings.
- find examples on the internet on different CVs
- after you are done going through the given format below, complete your CV as though you are applying for a job
The format you need to follow
- Personal details
- your ID
- your address
- telephone and fax numbers
- e-mail address
- the language you speak
- Education and training
- Which school you attended (or still attending - remember you can apply for a job before you leave school)
- The highest grade you have completed (if you are still in Gr 12, your highest grade completed will be Gr 11 etc.
- A list of the different subjects you studied/study (you can also add your marks you got on your last report)
- Qualifications
- These are any other qualifications you have achieved outside the school - it can be for sport, culture, something like hairdressing etc.
- Awards and achievements
- Here you mention any achievements - be it in or outside the school - you were captain of the u/15 cricket team, you are a member of the choir etc.
- Work experience and responsibilities
- Here you mention any work you have done such as working in a restaurant or a youth camp or a store - no matter what type of work and even if it was just for a holiday, you mention it
- You must also give details of what your responsibilities were like you were a teller or planned activities for kids, drove kids to school etc. Name all your responsibilities that you had to fulfill.
- Aims and interests
- This is a very important section - here you will tell more about your self, your hobbies, your plans for the future, your work ethic and personality. Write a short summary of this - nobody wants to read 10 pages where you go on and on about yourself - be direct and to the point but also make sure you fill in all the information that will tell the reader more about yourself.
- References
- Here you must supply the name, title and relationship to at least two people who can confirm the details about yourself.
- You should choose the names of people who knows you well and who can give good information about your personality.
Now use this framework to compile your own CV which you will use to apply for a job. First have a look at the video before you start.

How brilliant ones grades are doesn't matter most times like having a great CV, well compiled. It's most time everything about the definition of one's work life which, if not we'll written and organised, it can leave a brilliant gig dumb.

It is often important to include a CV as part of an application for a job. A CV is used as evidence of your experience and skills, with the potential employer being able to assess these against their requirements. A good CV should demonstrate your ability to do a number of activities such as analysing data, problem solving skills and communication skills but also visit https://knowtechie.com/5-useful-tips-for-technical-resume-writing-from-cv-experts/ site for quality work. It is also recommended that you provide information about any awards and qualifications obtained during your studies.

Thanks for these tips. There are actually a lot of great posts like https://www.gotresumebuilder.com/career-advice/how-to-write-a-resume-header-with-examples-and-tips which talks about tips on writing a resume header.
