It is unbelievable when we teach our children to think out of the box.

Once they start doing that they come up with the most surprising ideas that you can imagine. I came across this video of boys who had to make a table for marks in their woodwork class.

Once you watch this you will not believe what this boy had done. It just shows you that you do not have to be an artist to make beautiful things, as to me this did look like the best art that I had seen in a long time.
As I have said before we must never push children into a work that they might not enjoy.
I really think this boy can become one of the best furniture makers, just because he really thinks about things differently.
His class mates all made wonderful tables and there is nothing wrong with them but this child is just special.
Even his teacher did not know what he was thinking of.
They watched him and were all wondering what he was doing.
We teach children to make gifts from recycled plastic and find that some of them come up with wonderful ideas.

I think this all starts in primary school where we teach children to make things from clay and other products.

These gifts can make parents and friends very happy. It is just astonishing how they think of wonderful things.
Watching this video I could not figure out how beautiful this boy was making his table. It must have taken a lot of thinking but he really made a huge success of it.

This is something we cannot teach, as this does take a wonderful mind to work out what he had planned.
Can you imagine how pleased his parents must have been when they saw this table?
When you put something on top of it you even see it repeating the whole item all the way down as that is how this table became three dimensional.
This was so incredible to me, and I would have been very proud of him if he was in my class or one of my children.
