DOLPIN BABY FOUND

Luan woke up the next morning, when he woke up he realised that today he is going to see and maybe swim with one of the animals that he loves very much. He has a book on dolphins and he knows a little bit about them. 

He got up and dressed quickly, his parent were in the kitchen drinking coffee. 

His mother gave him a glass of orange juice, and said they will eat somewhere a little later and they want to get there early as they have to take a boat ride to where they have to swim with the dolphins. 

When they were all ready, they drove too where they had been at the two oceans aquarium a few days ago.

This is where they had to get the boat, but when they got nearer they saw that people were very excited and wondered what was happening. 

Luan’s father walked nearer and asked what was happening. They told him someone had caught a baby dolphin that was lost and bringing it in to be helped in the aquarium. 

He told Luan and his mother and Luan said, can we not please leave the swimming and rather watch what is going to happen with the baby dolphin. 

I do not mind his mother said and his father decided that they could stay because this is something that not many of us will ever see again.

They got their tickets and went inside just as the man walked in with the little dolphin he picked up with a towel.

He took it to an area where there was a swimming pool and tried to let it swim a little bit. He picked up the little dolphin and held it against him just like a little baby.

Luan was sitting there and felt like crying for this little baby dolphin. After that they gave the little dolphin a bottle to drink and he was sucking on this funny dummy. He must have thought it was his mother.

Nobody knew where the dolphin’s family was and they were keeping him to look after him. 

Luan was so pleased that they had stayed and saw all this happening, as he could not believe that he could get a chance to see a little baby dolphin.

After they told them that they would now like people to leave so that they could look after the baby, Luan’s father said we might as well have breakfast here and look at some of the rest of the animals we did not see the first time.

They had breakfast at the restaurant and started walking to the other side where they did not have time the first time to see the animals of the sea.  Luan was so glad that they were back and he could not stop talking about the little dolpin they had just seen.

As they were walking they saw sharks of all kinds. There was even a turtle and he looked very big to Luan. He said I did not know they can swim, as the ones in the forest just walk aroud behing the house in the forest.

They are not sea tutles my darling Luan they are tortoises that you see there, and some of them can also get very big.

His mother told him that this was a homeycomb stingray.

Oh mother they are so beautiful, I would never have known about sea animals if you did not bring me here, I am so pleased we stayed.

Oh  look there is a man in the water, taking phorographs.  This is also something I did not know that people could put clothes on so that they could breathe in the water.  It must be a wonderful feeling.

Mother this looks like a very big spider to me, yes dear but they live on coral reefs and they are very good for the ocean and keep the reefs well looked after.

After seeing all these new animals and the baby animal, one of the people who worked at the aquarium asked them if they did enjoy themselves. 

Luan said Oh yes very much, we were supposed to go and swim with the dolphins today, but we rather stayed to see this baby dolphin. 

He could not stop talking and told the man where he comes from there is a big forest and he loves all the animals, but these sea animals are so beautiful to him. 

The man said what is your name? 

My name if Luan and thank you for this wonderful place. The man smiled and said if your parents don’t mind I will take you to go into the water with our dolphins and you will have had a chance to touch them.

Luan was so surprised and his parents really did not mind they were very pleased. Luan went with the man and his mother was taking pictures for him to show his friends.

When he got back, he was so excited and said this has been one of the best days of my life thank you very much mister for letting me go in with the dolphins. It was so wonderful.  

His parents then said,  it just shows you we don’t always know what is going to happen and today you did go with the dolphins and saw a baby dolphin being saved. 

So Luan we sometimes plan things, but if they do not work out there will be a reason.  We just not know what it is at the moment.  We will definitely find out later on.

That is why we muct try and be happy every day and thankful for everything.
