Knowing The Value Of Information

Extracting gold out of dust is often an arduous task, especially if we don't how to do it, and let ourselves carried out by the stream that is full of diverse opinions.

And sometimes these opinions are full of prejudices because of false beliefs. The people who uphold them never reconsider or look at other possibilities. That makes them categorize events, situations and actions only by their own values and appreciation.

When everything is generalized, the error is the major constant. We need to expand our views and consider various options in whichever field we are into.

Observation

Everything is relative as Einstein said. And we can prove it in everything we see and do. When we venture into something, we need to pay careful attention to the applicability of what we do. And I stress in "WHAT WE DO," because it might not have the same result for other people.

It's like when you recommend something because it's working for you, it doesn't mean that it will always work for others. On every individual there are factors which are at play due to certain performance. For example, when a person has problems learning something, the origin of the issue may date back to special events that occurred to him.

So, even though some generalities may apply, we must observe all angles in order to use what is good for each one of us. Mistakes can be done, but since we know different approaches, we can rectify and start again.

Discernment

Good common sense is required whenever we want to pick up the correct information. All of us swim through a big sea of data sources. That is internet, television, radio, newspapers, schools and we have to have clear goals and solid convictions.

We can be deceived easily into believing in the wrong premises if we're not prepared. Allegoric things can be presented to us, displaying flashy filigree, but it would have no substance at all.

Not all that shines is Gold

That's the reason why we need to know in advance how to differentiate properly. It should be an essential part of our repertoire whenever we analyze.

That way we can select and choose wisely. There's a term used among the scientific community. And that is "educated guess." This phrase differentiates from the mere meaning of "guess" because any hypothesis is based on knowledge. Thus, it has a high chance to be true.

Combination of experiences

Some people say that every day you learn something new. And that's totally right. Even when things don't go according to plan, you still learn from the bad experience. If you analyze how the outcome of a situation comes to be, you will always notice valuable details, which will show the main causes.

You will also discover even new things that in the analytical evaluation prior to the action never showed up. For instance, when you and one of your friend develop a project, the final result - either good or bad - will tell you how valuable the partnership is.

We can see this when students work in groups. There are some that come up with excellent results while others fail. It can naturally have a wide range of causes, but it tells a lot about how a person can manage himself. So, there could be good expectations among the members of the group, but we will know how everything will turn up in the end.
