SECTION I: LOOKING AT THEIR BEHAVIOUR

  1. Find out whether your friend constantly disappoint you. If he/she is someone who fail you frequently, he is a fake friend.
  2. ‎Pay attention to their only- me behavior. If they always wish good things for only themselves, they aren't good friend.
  3. ‎Look our for uncaring traits. Do they care for you?, do they have the traits to care for you?.
  4. ‎Watch out for signs that they support you and your interest. Don they support your dreams or against it???
  5. ‎Check if they accept your flaws or throw them in your face. A good friend will always accept you and your flaws then find means to correct it.
  6. ‎Spot signs of guilt- tripping. If your friend, trys to make you feel bad for not been able to do his wish,they are bad friends

SECTION II: SPOTTING COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS

  1. Watch and see if they listen to you or just being listened to. Check if they give you attention, or they just want it for themselves.
  2. ‎Set a boundary and see if they respect it. Try to distance yourself from them and see if they feel it within them.
  3. ‎Look for signs of envy or jealousy. Are they always jealous when you are happy??
  4. ‎Take note of passive- aggressive tendency. Find out of they say yes to you in an aggressive way. If they follow your wish in an aggressive way.
  5. ‎See if your secret somehow became public knowledge. Find out if he exposes your secrets or keep it.
  6. ‎Notice if you hear from the person often. If the person calls or text you often, then they care and they are good friends.

SECTION III: FORMING AUTHENTIC FRIENDSHIP

  1. Reevaluate your friendship. Think if you still want to continue with the friendship. If you still stand to gain something.
  2. ‎Have a talk with the friend. Let him/her know his/her offence.
  3. ‎Lower your expectation to protect you from getting hurt. Never rely on the friend, they could disappoint you. Dont rely on them.
  4. ‎Connect with people with whom you have common interest and value. Relate with people you share the same goal with.
  5. ‎Use caution when sharing personal info with new friends. Dont share your lifestyle with new friends, people you can't rely on.
