Apparently it is a crocodile.

The clever hare also had a great idea to eliminate his hunger. He rose from his seat and walked quickly toward the river to approach the crocodile. "Good afternoon crocodile, have you eaten?" Ask the mouse deer pretending. But the crocodile remains silent, it seems he fell asleep so as not to answer the question deer.
