Did you know it's  Absolutely Incredible Kid Day today? Not? Let me tell you all about it...

This wacky and fun holiday is celebrated on the third Thursday of every March and it commemorates the incredible kids in your life! So, teachers, parents and grandparents gather round because you've got some incredible kids to make an extra fuss about today.

This day was created to inspire children to make, create or go out and make a difference and letting them know how incredible they are.

It is statistically proven that children react better to being praised and rewarded for their hard work than just giving them a pat on the back or just saying 'good job'. Make an effort to acknowledge your children's achievements and you will one day reap from their hard work.
Give their self-esteem a boost by learning them responsibility around the house or in the classroom by giving them tasks to complete and rewarding them accordingly.

How do we celebrate this day you ask? 

The celebration part of this day is easy, just make your child feel like a superhero. Make them a special dinner, let them play outside a little longer, download that app or game they have been nagging about or just have a heart to heart chat with them about how amazing you think they are.
Everyday should be special with your children, but today you can go the extra mile. Make them feel extra special and loved.

You probably didn't know that these popular items were invented by children:

- Braille was invented by the 12-year-old Louis Braille after he suffered an unfortunate eye injury that left him blind at three.
- Christmas Lights was invented  by 15-year-old Albert Sadacca in 1917 after electricity was something to experiment with. Before the Christmas light was invented people decorated their trees with actual candles. dangerous much?
