THE PREPOSITION

in steemiteducation •  7 years ago

Certain words are regularly followed by particular prepositions, and it is wrong to use any others after them. It is words that link a noun phrase, a noun or a pronoun to another part of a sentence. There are no clear-cut rules or methods for choosing a preposition.

English learners can find prepositions complicated. Prepositions are association words, they give indications and direction of how the rest of the sentence fits together. There are several important rules when using prepositions in the context of a sentence, e.g. rules of how prepositions can be used, which, when and where prepositions have to go in a sentence.

there's no end to English language really.quite extensive

My mother-in-law was born in England and my father-in-law in Scotland. My husband was the youngest of five children. They came to live in South Africa when he was six years old. I was always amazed that she often would correct him on his use of English. I would have thought he knows everything, but she assured me that English is very difficult because of all the different dialects in England! I was just wondering what she must have thought about my English because I am Afrikaans speaking!

travel helps a lot in language learning..I'd use Nigeria as a case study, the pidgin English was carved out from the English language ..Now most Nigerians with little or no English diction are better off with it...Tourists are even amazed at the way we could create a different English language

I learned English very well. Want more Thank you

I like the time you take to show or teach us about important topics such as education
