Narrative and student development
Narrative techniques contain the possibility of finding stories, recreate them or create them together with the students. The stories can be used in class to convince, entertain, intrigue, explain, impress, rationalize, theorize, create links, among others. Messages can be transmitted that stimulate ethical values, questions, conflicting situations to solve, attitudes to analyze, encounters with an aesthetic enjoyment.
In the next post I will talk about narrative productions and cognitive development.
Today I want to share with the steemit community a tool to evaluate through the narrative technique, as well as the stories. Among the objectives of the following work are:
a) unfold students' imagination and imagination of subtle stimuli.
b) create different stories simultaneously, in a co-participative manner; participate in exchanges of individual productions, within the work teams or the total group.
The work is entitled: Beginning of the story.
1.- Some starting formulas will be used, for example:
• "Once Upon a time..."
• ¨In a country whose name I do not remember ... ¨
• "Many years ago ..."
• "What I'm going to tell you is a very long story ...¨
• ¨Lived once ...¨
• "They will not believe it, but ..."
• "When the day was over ..."
• ¨Tells the story that ...¨
• ¨They knew that in the ...¨
• "What happened that night ..."
2.- Development:
a.- The papers with the beginning of history formulas will be placed in a bag. Each child will extract, at random, a piece of paper.
b.- From this, students will begin to build some kind of narrative production. The same after being built will be exchanged.
3.- Suggestions:
You can add this technique to the shared creation technique. To do this, teams of 4 or 5 students sitting in circles will be formed. Each student will have a sheet with some initial formula and write a couple of sentences. Then, the sheets will be passed to the partner on the left who will continue with the story. In this way, they will continue to pass it, until each student obtains the sheet on which he began and writes the end.
