This class is based on the criterion of teaching elementary school children in the Spanish language, who will learn to use the following punctuation marks in an appropriate way, respecting the learning criteria that may exist in English or in other languages.
The pronoun and the Adjective
The pronoun:
It is the word that indicates that it goes in the place of the name.
Example
Juan returned late ------------juan rergreso afternoon ............ The late return
Juan is the Name The ....... is the pronoun
Types of Pronoun
Demonstrative pronouns:
They are the ones that substitute without naming people, animale or things
These are :
this, this, these, these, that, that, that, those, those, that, that, that, those, those
Personal pronouns:
They are the ones that substitute without naming the people animals or things. These differ from the demonstrative pronouns because they are divided into:
1st person, who in turn are divided into singular and plural
Singular: me, my
Plural: we, we
2nd person, which in turn are divided into singular and plural
Singular: you, you
Plural: you, you
3rd person, who in turn are divided into singular and plural
Singular: he, yes, I know, I get
Plural: they, them, then, the,
The relative pronouns
This pronoun redefines someone or something that has just been talked about or is supposed to be known.
And these are: who, what, which, whose
Example:
a) The student what studied received good grades.
b) Who does not work, does not eat.
c) Pedro broke the glass, which angered his parents.
d) He will do everything he can.
e) The woman whose son wears black pants is gypsy.
Indefinite or undetermined Pronouns.
These types of pronouns are used to vaguely refer to people or things.
These are:
Someone, something, one, none, nothing, nobody, much, too much, everything, enough, little, fed up, such, who, who, anybody, whoever.
The adjective:
It is the word that modifies the noun.Example:
Home
The = article house = noun
Here we are talking about one thing, the house, when we say to ourselves or when listening to the house, we literally imagine a house. Now the adjective will transform that, it will tell us a characteristic of the house, it will modify the noun. Let's use an adjective, (large),
The big house
The = article.......house =noun.........big = adjective.
Types of adjectives:
Qualifying adjectives
They are the words that qualify the noun or the subject of the sentence.
Example
Big small
If we say:
The "big" dog: We literally imagine that the dog is a big dog and not a simple dog, the qualifying adjective is the word "big"
The "small" dog: We literally imagine that the dog is "small" as such.
Using other qualifying adjectives:
The pretty dog
The white dog
The fat dog
The skinny dog
Demonstrative adjectives
They are words that show or point to any person, place or object (noun).
Some of those words are: That, This, Those, Those, That
Example: with Tree and trees
- That tree*
- This tree*
- Those trees*
- Those trees*
Explanatory adjectives
They are placed before the noun and its function is to highlight a quality of the noun.
Example:
a) Cold Winter
Frio = is the explanatory adjective
Winter = the noun
b) Warm fire
Warm = is the explanatory adjective
Fire = is the noun.
The adjectives gentilicios
It is used to manifest the origin of people or any object.
Example:
a) American coffee b) Cuban coffee C) Mexican coffee
a) Merican coffee
coffee = Nouns
Adjective gentilicio = Merican
b) Cuban coffee
Nouns = coffee
Adjective gentilicio= Cuban
c) Mexican coffee
Nouns = coffee
