Everyday should be fun.

You can find a way to make everyday fun.

There are a variety of different ways to make your day more enjoyable.

I have to work everyday so I find different ways to add a little spice to my work day.

For example, sometimes we'll make a little contest at work to see who can say the most outlandish things to our guests without them realizing that we are being outlandish.

Last year we had a contest to see who could mention the TV show Star Trek throughout every single conversation while spieling our meals.

It went something like this.

GUEST - "Yes, I'd like to order a cheeseburger with American cheese, french fries, and an Unsweet iced tea."

SERVER - "Fascinating." Must be said with raised eyebrow.

The server that won the contest actually said Live long and prosper to multiple different guests.

We also had a contest where you had to mention the word trifecta but use it incorrectly.

Example:

It comes with a large steak, a baked potato, and a trifecta of unsweet tea.

One of my favorite contests happened when we first got asparagus in.

We made sure to pronounce it very wrong, as if we had never heard of it before and were just now learning what it was.

"Yes sir, we have our new as - pa - RAG - us." Emphasis on the rag.

Keep in mind that all of these contests are not company sanctioned and we would probably get yelled at if we got caught doing them...... therefore they are all the more humorous.

Everyone has to work.

There's no getting around that.

However, there's no reason you can't make your job fun.

Everyday should be fun.
