A few days from now, classes for the school year 2018-2019 will officially commence. So, just a week ahead of the opening of the classes, the Department of Education particularly, has conducted Brigada Eskwela to ready the schools in all aspects applicable.
The public schools nationwide will have the opening of classes for this school year on the 4th of June. So as early as the 28th day of May, the teachers, parents, learners, as well as the employees from the other government agencies, have gotten their feet busy for the so-called Brigada Eskwela.
Former Education Secretary, Dr. Luistro once said, “Brigada Eskwela is not about the cleanest school. It is not about the most organized campus. It’s about the whole community transcending differences and working together for the benefit of the Filipino learners.”
And so . . .
On the first day of the activity, the PAF (Philippine Air Force) had donated cleaning supplies and joined everybody in our school in cleaning and preparing the school itself for the opening. Here's how:
Let's get started. . .
Fortunate were we to be one of those chosen recipients of their voluntary Brigada Eskwela service. They had provided the school paints for the walls and chairs and painted them themselves.
Let's do more. . .
Together with the PAF, the students had also participated in this year's Brigada Eskwela. They swept and gather the surrounding's trash, and help beautify the school by planting more ornamental and decorative plants and other means.
Aside from these learners, the parents had rendered effort also for readying the campus for the opening.
Indeed, it was a very successful working-together activity. Cheers to everyone who had willingly rendered their service for the benefits of the Filipino learners.
Together we can make things happen!
'til then,
