In the development of the era would require a change included in educating children. Parents are now beginning to feel the need for early childhood education in school and some even starting from the age of 18 months. Thus, there are now many schools that open early childhood education called playgroups or preschools in major cities in Indonesia, especially in Aceh. In addition to preschool, Childcare is also commonly found in downtown areas including Aceh. Childcare becomes an option for busy parents as a form of early childhood education as well as children still get attention and care from working parents.

Golden Age : The moment of early childhood education

The period since the child born until approximately 4 years old is believed as a golden period, where children experience rapid development, especially on the intelligence of the brain.
The learning process in early childhood education can achieve optimal results when children get the appropriate stimulation with the development of his age.
Children learn through observation, experimentation and communication with others. This period is very important as the main foundation for the development of children at the next age.

Therefore, there are many schools for early childhood education (preschool) with various educational methods to optimize the ability of children.

There are 5 important aspects of early childhood education:

• Motor or physical ability: physical development of the child is developed including gross motor skills such as sport and fine motor such as playing puzzles, doing crafts
• Cognitive ability: how children live in their environment and how to solve problems
• Social skills: children learn to interact with others
• Emotional ability: the child is able to control emotions and confidence
• Language skills: children learn to communicate with others and how to express their feelings and emotions through language.

According to Kathleen McCartney Kathleen McCartney, PhD, an education expert at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the United States on Parents website, there is a difference in outcomes achieved from children who attend school early on preschool.

In addition to learning to know numbers, letters and forms, children also learn how to socialize with other children by learning to share and respect others.

It also added that children who get the education in preschool are more ready when entering kindergarten (TK).

Children have better skills in reading preparation, more vocabulary and mathematics than children who don’t study in preschool.

Of course, early childhood education in schools is given in a different way from elementary school, the children will learn more through playing and singing.
