Telling Time using Digital and Analog Clocks

In 2nd grade kids learn how to read digital and analog clocks to tell time in quarters and halves. For example; kids in 2nd grade should be able to read the clocks telling "perfect hours", "quarter past", "half past" or "quarter to"

Telling time using a digital clock is very easy and it can be used to tell the time at the accuracy of each second. Still kids should be able to read analog clocks as they are still around and will be there for the coming future.

We can make an analog clock using the cardboard and we can move its hands very easily to desired positions. This way we can practice with our kids to teach them how to tell time and read these analog clocks.

Anyway if you are unable to make a cardboard clock you can use a real clock or use the following worksheet to see if your child know how to tell time from an analog clock. I have prepared this easy and fun activity for your loved ones;
