This is my report for what I read yesterday Oct 19, 2018
Book: The Handmaid's Tale
Author: Margaret Atwood
Pages: Currently Unknown, the kid stole my bookmark.
This story is slow and descriptive. The tone of the book is slow, unexciting. Even when there are exciting bits, its slow. Slow slow slow. Like this woman's life. She stops and looks at details of her surroundings, because she has time to do this. She might go crazy in a house like mine with so many details to look at: the pen, the stapler, the battery that should have been recycled, sitting there waiting to be used. Will it be usable when its moment comes? The yellow box above is slightly tilted, uncared for, the dust, in flecks of varying sizes. Behind there is a small child's toy, a stuffed animal of sorts, waiting to be played with. Lonely.
LOL, that was me trying to write like the tone of this book.
Don't be surprised if I abandon this book...
