Education is a right for every citizen in all parts of the world, as well as Indonesia. Because education is basically to provide knowledge and equip them science to be able to develop itself in a small scope and able to contribute to the nation and state. But not all children are able to experience the joy of education, if urban life is dynamic and free from conflict, they have the freedom to choose and enjoy education, in contrast to conflict areas, such as prolonged conflict in the province of Aceh which is part of the Unitary State of the Republic Indonesia.
Poso Conflict Maluku Province, and even other conflicts in various parts of the world such as Pakistan, Congo, Sudan, Somalia, Africa, Somalia, Iraq and Syria. How the fate of education in the country, it is very sad if those who have the potential of human resources but become victims of the conflict that occurred. For them education is something very expensive, what would become an area and a country if without any future generation, because only through education a country able to develop and advance.
The longstanding conflict of Aceh has claimed lives and property is one of the harsh historical evidence of the current state of education. From 1976 to 2005 Aceh was continuously hit by armed conflict between the Government of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement which wanted to separate itself from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia until the area of military operation (DOM) in this rencong region.
Not only the loss of life and property that I mentioned above became a negative value of the development of a conflict area, but at that time education is an important element of human resource development becomes difficult to obtain, many educational facilities are burned, other public facilities as well, to get a decent education, the rural community that is the access to the conflict is forced to move to the city, and it is on a very small scale, how many children are only able to complete basic education and even drop out.
Based on data from UNICEF, as many as 75 million school-aged children in conflict areas around the world, due to impaired access to education, in these countries education assistance is needed both in educational facilities and infrastructure, school dropouts in the world, so that their future will be guaranteed with adequate education.
To implement education, the solution is to establish emergency education through the construction of makeshift tents as educational facilities, educators will then provide educational and interactive materials and scientific learning in language and teaching using simple style, in hopes that they will be able to receive educational materials in conflict situations. If it is not possible to obtain formal education, it is necessary to make breakthroughs such as informal education so that they can still receive education even if psychological conditions are disturbed, such as character formation activities.
The problems that arise to the children to receive education are generally due to the psychological condition of children who are traumatized by the loss of family members and residence and also because of the lack of motivation of children to learn so that the existing ideals swallowed the period. Only with informal educational approach that can trigger the group of children like this, with the hope of educators able to stimulate the re-possessed the passion for education in the form of material that is based on positive thinking, so that it can establish its identity and character in building a persuasive social approach.
Pendidikan merupakan hak bagi setiap warga negara di berbagai penjuru dunia, begitu pula dengan Indonesia. Karena pendidikan pada dasarnya adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan membekali mereka ilmu untuk mampu mengembangkan dirinya dalam ruang lingkup yang kecil dan mampu memberikan kontribusi untuk bangsa dan negara. Namun tidak semua anak-anak mampu merasakan nikmatnya pendidikan, jika kehidupan perkotaan yang dinamis dan bebas dari konflik, mereka mempunyai kebebasan memilih dan menikmati pendidikan, berbeda dengan daerah-daerah konflik, seperti konflik yang berkepanjangan di provinsi Aceh yang merupakan bagian dari Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
Konflik Poso Provinsi Maluku, bahkan konflik lain di berbagai belahan dunia seperti Pakistan, Kongo, Sudan, Somalia, Afrika, Somalia, Irak dan Suriah. Bagaimana nasib pendidikan di negara tersebut, sungguh sangat menyedihkan jika mereka yang memiliki potensi sumber daya manusia tetapi menjadi korban dari konflik yang terjadi. Bagi mereka pendidikan merupakan sesuatu yang sangat mahal, apa jadinya sebuah daerah dan negara jika tanpa ada generasi penerus, karena hanya melalui pendidikan sebuah negara mampu berkembang dan maju.
Konflik Aceh yang berpanjangan telah menelan korban jiwa dan harta benda merupakan salah satu bukti sejarah yang pahit terdahap kondisi pendidikan saat ini. Sejak tahun 1976 hingga tahun 2005 Aceh secara terus menerus dilanda konflik bersenjata antara Pemerintah Indonesia dengan Gerakan Aceh Merdeka yang ingin memisahkan diri dari Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia, sampai diberlakukan daerah operasi militer (DOM) ditanah rencong ini.
Tidak hanya korban jiwa dan harta benda yang saya sebutkan diatas menjadi nilai negatif dari perkembangan sebuah daerah konflik, namun saat itu pendidikan yang merupakan elemen penting dari pengembangan sumberdaya manusia menjadi hal yang sulit didapatkan, sarana pendidikan banyak yang dibakar, fasilitas umum lainnya juga demikian, untuk memperoleh pendidikan yang layak, masyarakat pelosok yang merupakan akses terjadinya konflik terpaksa harus pindah ke kota, dan itu dalam skala yang sangat kecil, betapa banyak anak-anak dipelosok hanya mampu menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar dan bahkan putus sekolah.
Berdaasarkan data dari UNICEF, sebanyak 75 juta anak usia sekolah di daerah-daerah konflik di seluruh penjuru dunia, karena akses pendidikan yang hancur, di negara-negara tersebut diperlukan bantuan pendidikan baik sarana dan prasarana penunjang pendidikan, hal ini perlu dilakukan untuk membantu anak-anak putus sekolah di dunia, sehingga masa depan mereka akan terjamin dengan adanya pendidikan yang memadai.
Untuk menerapkan pendidikan, solusinya dengan mendirikan pendidikan darurat melalui pembangunan tenda-tenda darurat sebagai fasilitas pendidikan, nantinya pendidik akan memberikan materi pendidikan dan interaktif serta pembelajaran ilmiah dalam bahasa dan mengajar menggunakan gaya sederhana, dengan harapan mereka mampu menerima materi pendidikan dalam kondisi konflik. Jika tidak memungkinkan memperoleh pendidikan formal, perlu dilakukan terobosan seperti pendidikan informal supaya mereka tetap dapat menerima pendidikan meskipun kondisi psikologis sedang terganggu, misalnya kegiatan pembentukan karakter.
Permasalahan yang timbul terhadap anak untuk menerima pendidikan umumnya karena kondisi psikologis anak yang trauma akibat kehilangan anggota keluarga dan tempat tinggal dan juga karena hilangnya motivasi anak untuk belajar sehingga cita-cita yang ada sirna ditelan masa. Hanya dengan pendekatan pendidikan informal yang dapat memicu kembali golongan anak-anak seperti ini, dengan harapan pendidik mampu merangsang kembali mempunya semangat untuk menempuh pendidikan dalam bentuk materi yang berbasis berfikir positif, sehingga dapat membentuk jati dirinya dan karakternya dalam membangun pendekatan sosial secara persuasif.

Salah satu terobasan yang dilakukan pada konflik dulu bagi dunia pendidikan di aceh adalah dengan mewajibkan di SMA mata pelajaran perdamaian dan mengubah hari libur sekolah dari minggu ke hari jumat. Postingan ini mengingatkan saya kembali ke Masa SMU dulu.
