Hi Friends,
The human body likewise the bodies of other living things (animals/mammals) develops gradually in a holistic process with some parts developed at the very early stage of the embryo to fetus in the womb before delivery as a baby/ child through adolescence to adulthood. The external body parts as well as internal ones each play vital role(S) in the life of the entire body. That is the reason why these body parts are taught from nursery schools through the primary set up mainly; naming identification and how to care for these parts.
Though these parts are shape and sized differently to suit their specific functions, they work in synergy for the proper health and outfit of the body. That is why the face will normally assist each part and the situation of its wellbeing by either frowning /crying /looking sad for situations of hurt, damage and accidents and shall smile/ look happy in times of excitement, anxiety and happiness as glaring signs of not been hurt. So, the face is like the silent interpreter while the mouth is the audible interpreter of the state of the body.
Toe nails, finger nails and hairs are trimmed not because they are needed but because their proportion to the parts they are attached to also counts for a suitable outfit and above all, for the proper health of the body. The importance of each body part cannot be over-emphasized.
In Kom land (my native land) this adage is common in times of danger when one needs to sprint helter skelter; “what did the mouth eat and failed to give the share of the feet?”. Another interesting area is on sharing whatever items to people in a group in which the sharer keeps his share first with the backing that he/she should share like a guinea pig which shared tails to animals and failed to keep its own tail.
Below is a picture of a chart on parts of the body which I labeled in French though my official language is English language, So, i will be happy to learn from any part that may be poorly labeled or left out in the labeling.
