How to succeed on steemit- Sharing Lessons learnt from Mentors

in steemiteducation •  7 years ago  (edited)

Today I want to share some basic useful tips that i learnt from some of my mentors on this platform that has been helping me to achieve more.
Firstly, I will like to share my experience on steemit before i will share those tips I have learnt from @papa-pepper @sweetsssj @kingscrown @ackza @buzzbeergeek among many.I've been on steemit some months ago. My first month on steemit, I was making little out of my efforts, even my first introduction made less than a dollar( few cents). I discover Steemit on google.com, nobody introduced this platform to me. When I saw people making huge money every trending post, I first thought I could just jumped in with any shit post and start making the same thing I saw with my eye, I never follow any instruction of those that has been on the platform before. All I was curious about, was just to make money, Yeah! that always ring in any novice heart, Until I realised that I need to start asking questions. My dear friends, If you ask questions you will never miss road to your destination.
One day, I decided in my heart that I will register on steemit.chat and join some other steemit groups on Discord channel, like @minnowsupports among many.from there I started following some whales both on discord and steemit.chat, asking them questions on how, why and what to do to start making it on steem blockchain. I will be sharing those tips with you today, because I knew their is love in sharing whatsoever you know can benefit others.
After I paid attention to every lesson learnt from each and everyone of my mentors, I began to record success on steemit community and this has really changed my life and lifestyle. Thanks to them.

ENGAGEMENT

Many of us want as much as possible upvotes on every post we made, but we never think of returning the same favour to our followers. We never try to even drop comments of our followers post, I'm talking about meaningful comments. @papa-pepper and others told when I held a chat session with them. what all of them first asked me was " Have you been trying to engage your followers by replying their comments meaningfully and have you been dropping meaningful comments on others post? I told them sincerely, Not everytime. @papa-pepper quiclky checked my page and he saw have nnot been dropping meaningful comments, then he told me that dropping comment like " nice post" good content" "I love this" is not good enough. Try o read every bit of a post to know what the writer is talking about so that you will understand how to drop a very interactive comments. just be real, do not fake it. always reply every one that has commented on your posts to engage them so that they will come back another time to check on your post. Try to make friends regardless of their reputation. Try to be friends of those that are taking their time to write meaninful content.

WRITE QUALITY CONTENT

Taking your time to compose and write meaningful content is one of the main key to been successful on steemit. You might not be getting huge reward as you want at first, but keep on doing what you have passion for never put your mind on the reward. Always set your mind on what you can do to improve the lives of others, by do that your reward will come naturally as you are doing what is write. Also, do not do copy and paste. Plaqiarism is not allow on steemit. If you do, people will not comment or upvotes you content. you might even get downvotes for doing that. And remeber to refrences other peoples works cited in your post. Once the public on steemit recongnize that you contributing quality good content to the community you will not only start receiving upvotes but also quality followers. People will start showing love for your good works on the platform.

USE APPROPRIATE TAG & PICTURES

So many quality record low upvotes on their post because the post was posted on an irrelevant Hash-Tags to post their contents. For example you are writing on health or health realted topic, your tag should be related and relevant to health.e.g 'health' 'steemstem' 'fitness' among others. If you use wrong tag is is likely to record low or no upvotes on your post.I have made such mistakes before, and i know what it cost. So avoid using irrelevant tag. Reverence all the pictures that are not yours.

In Conclusion, Getting the reward you deserve on steemit, you must do your best to impact on others lives. Ask question from who can guide you. Never copy and paste and always make friends. And your story will change.
I will continue this tutorial by tommorrow, you can follow me to learn more.
