I read somewhere that to one teacher saying "They don't pay me to like the kids", another teacher would reply: "Kids don't learn from people they don't like."

I looked it up, and it's from Rita Pierson, as seen in this list of inspiring Ted Talks.

Just something I had to think about when I read this.
