Annual Sports Gala at School - An Educational Activity!

Hello My Steemit Family,

There is a very famous quote that A sound body has a sound mind. Last Tuesday, we had a sports gala at our school; my followers know that i am a teacher by profession. It is also important to mention that sports gala organized by the school authorities at the end of February every year. Different games and sports were the part of this wonderful gala including Cricket, Football, Badminton, tug of war and Kabadi ( A traditional game of the region).

Here the fun begins with wonderful game of cricket. Grade 10th has won the toss and elected to bat first while grade 9th is setting it's field positions.

Everyone is so excited to support his teams, that is why supporters took their favorite positions to watch the match outside the boundary line. (Supporters of grade 9th can be seen in the pictures below)

Supporters and well wishers of the Grade-10th can be seen too in the below pictures. Everyone was so passionate to win the game but they were also taught the spirit of game and patience, before the sports gala.

It was a neck to neck competition between both the teams and both played really very well at their ends but grade-10th won the title with 2 runs. After winning the title team mates, supporters and young students rushed towards the captain of the team and every body stated to dance. I was quite happy to see my students enjoying the moments indeed golden moments of their school lives, Wonderful :)

Kabadi Time

At the end of the sports gala a wonderful game of kabadi was left. It was a challenged match between two junior classes Grade-6th Vs Grade-7th. Let me show you the young guns who are ready to take their positions before the match to listen the rules & regulations of the game by referee.

After giving deep ears to referee both captains entered in the ground with their awesome poses and slogans and here the fun begins ;). Some amazing music and traditional melody of drum beating made the environment more colorful. Everybody was yelling and making some noise whenever the player was getting the point. Hurrah! Bravo! Shulllllla! here he goes ....

It was a huge fun with my students that we went outside our class room and enjoyed the games ad sports with full freedom. I asked my boys to enjoy these precious moments of your life as you are gonna really miss them in future, he exactly did what i say to them ;) ;)

Education is not a boring thing at all it is all about how do we convey it. Cramming is an evil thing that destroys the spirit of education and then produce robots instead of brilliant minds!!

I am proud to be a Teacher and let's spread education with full honesty and passion :) :)
