7 things we should learn from children! (For parents)

The simplicity of the children's personality reveals the basic characteristics necessary for a pleasant relationship between people, pay attention and try to acquire them in your daily life, to improve the quality of life. With the passage of time, people tend to be less affective and more critical of the prejudices that currently exist.

Not expressing oneself in the right way means that relationships between people are unsuccessful and only in cordiality, forgetting the affective part that is indispensable for the relationship. We tend to believe that they have more knowledge than those who spend more time studying, but when it comes to the capacity for expression, the experts are smaller. Next, we offer you 7 things that we should learn from children.

1- I'm not afraid, it's just a precaution.

One of the attitudes of children that surprises me the most is their ability to take risks. As long as they do not have an adult telling them how dangerous or impossible it is, in a few minutes they will be on top of a tree, wanting to drive your vehicle or exploring a risky way to have fun.

Although accidents often happen, children are very good at getting up and trying again. They are not afraid to do it again, but if they learn the lesson they will be more cautious. I wish we all forgot the times they told us something was impossible or that we could not do it, maybe we could have fun taking risks once again.

2- Look what I invented!

How many ideas do you think go through the mind of a child in a few minutes? They are able to see elephants inside a boa or imagine the most unlikely adventure with their toys, like that famous Little Prince.

This creative ability leads them to discover and form. Without prejudice and without fear of making a fool of themselves, they express themselves and discover themselves in the same way that you discovered yourself as an entrepreneur. The same process that led you to build companies is the same process that we must follow every day to improve our products or invent new ones.

3- That is my favorite superhero.

Children have many superheroes, these can be from traditional with mask and cape to their parents. Having models worthy of imitation is fundamental for children, as they learn the values of these people they admire.

For entrepreneurs it is not very different. As my friend Patrick Devlyn says, "We must all procure at least one model worth imitating for us and another for our companies."

Who is your role model? What other company do you want yours to be? If you learn more about the habits and qualities of those you admire, you will shorten the learning curve and reach the top.

4- This is magic.

Being convinced that magic does exist and that formidable and inexplicable things can happen is magnificent. More than innocence is a different way of looking at life. I believe in magic. I believe that perseverance, optimism, irreverence and joy can cause inexplicable things to happen. And you, do you believe in magic?

5- I made a new friend.

Children are great at networking. After a few minutes in the park, you can approach any other child and without hesitation have a new best friend now. Without prejudice, with kindness, honesty and charisma, they are able to become accomplices, adventure companions and partners.

This is one of the qualities that we most easily lose when growing up and that, as entrepreneurs, we need to resume urgently. If you start to analyze the latest successes of your company you will realize that many of these are caused by the public relations you have. Directly or indirectly, someone helped you. Can you imagine that we had the capacity of a child to make friends, partners and accomplices? It would be simply incredible the success we could achieve.

6- I caught a fish this big!

A few days ago I went camping with some friends and their children. It was an excellent opportunity to observe how great we all were when we were little. On many occasions it made me wonder what happened to me to live with so many ties.

I remember that the six-year-old son of one of my friends had the audacity to be one of those who fished the most on this trip with a rod and a hook. Although in general we all take 'small' fish, this little friend when he arrived at his house boasted to his mother that he had caught a fish SO BIG! Exaggerating about three times the size of any fish obtained in this adventure.

How many times as entrepreneurs we forget how important it is to congratulate ourselves on our triumphs and that sometimes magnifying them is a natural result of our joy of living? Dare to tell people what you do, it does not matter if sometimes you have to infect them with your way of seeing things.

7- What is that? Oh, it bit me!

Children (as well as successful entrepreneurs) do not care about the consequences, as long as they can satisfy their curiosity. Knowing how it works, asking what it is and wanting to know more about something is a quality that we must protect and never lose.

That is what leads a child to ask 1,000 questions and an entrepreneur to develop an extensive business plan. Should not we all be just as curious, no matter that we have to disarm something that we can not put back together afterwards?

I hope I could have helped you today with this short post about some of the many things we can learn about children. Age should not turn us into more empty people considering that we are born with desire to learn, be better and express what we feel, do not change your greatness by the prejudices of society, they just want you not to grow and be successful in your life .
