How to teach elementary school children - Teaching is one of the hardest jobs, no doubt about it. And working with minors will be even more difficult, especially when treating the children in large numbers in one class.

Many experienced teachers out there who have strategies in managing the class as I mentioned above. Not a few of their strategies are deliberately uploaded to the web and disseminated in order to help other teachers achieve the same success.
Well below is a list of tips from professional teachers who are proven to help teachers in teaching and managing classes to be more efficient and effective.
1. Set rules and apply consistently
Set the rules on the first day, whether it concerns the consequences of negative behavior or rewards as a reward for positive behavior during learning activities. Given the rules made by a teacher in the classroom, the student will be directed and give the impression that the teacher is a serious educator who wants to make the learning process qualified. In addition to the rules, students will be motivated to raise their awareness to avoid behaviors that should not be done.
2. Use positive rather than negative language
Every time you tell someone not to do something, the first thing that comes from the head of the person you are telling is to imagine what not to do. For example: “Do not smoke in class!” The student will surely imagine himself smoking in the class. So avoid negative words like “do not” etc, but say a positive word or language, such as:
“Prepare your stationery”, avoid the phrase “Do not miss your stationery”
“Close the door quietly” avoid the phrase “Do not close the door aloud”
“Listen to your teacher and pay attention”, avoid the phrase “Do not be noisy!”
In addition, when notifying the rules to students. Do not use the word “punishment” but it's better to use the term “consequence”.
3. Give praise to the effort for their own good not the teacher's desire or approval
Sometimes there are some teachers who give praise to a student because the student is already doing what his teacher wants. Like, “Good Audi, you have filled my markers well”. It is obviously not of the slightest kindness to the student, that there is only the realization of the wishes of a teacher.
The best compliment is for a deed that is necessary and for the good of the student, such as “I see Anita preparing her book on the table, it indicates she is well prepared to learn”. Remember to familiarize students to do something to suit their needs, but not to do something to get pleasure from the teacher.
4. Avoid attitudes that can embarrass students in the classroom
It is not a good idea when a teacher gives an example of a child by embarrassing her in front of her peers. If you find your student making a mistake, talk to the student outside the classroom, so that the student does not feel humiliated.
5. Be aware of differences in students' skills and ensure students master the material
Not all students learn at the same rate. There is a master that is fast enough but there is also the opposite. For students who slowly teach slowly and check their understanding regularly so as not to miss in the lesson, make sure they do not excel while learning the concept. For students who have above average skills and relatively quickly understand the material, provide extra concepts in addition, this will have a nice effect on them in deepening the material.
6. Make contact with parents
Make contact with the student's parents as often as possible. Take advantage to attend a parent-teacher meeting if the school holds the conference. Show that you want to work with parents to educate their children in order to grow maximally. If you can make a good relationship with your parents, you will easily open a dialogue between parents, students and teachers. This will obviously result in feedback and parental trust from the parents to the teacher.
7. Interactive Learning
First you do something, show the students how to do it. Next ask them to tell what they get from what the teacher practices. Then ask the students to do what the teacher has done and discuss in the classroom. If you do it slowly and slowly at the first time, there is a guarantee that afterwards the student will be quicker in understanding and mastering the material.
8. Get student attention at the beginning of the lesson
To get the attention of the students, you do not have to say “Everything is silent, learning will begin!” it sometimes becomes a boomerang. Let the students be aware of your presence until they silence their own friends to keep quiet and watch you. But if this does not work, you can direct the noise by asking directly about a challenging and interesting problem. For example, “Yesterday I saw a bird that has black wings with a red pattern in the middle, does anyone know what a bird is?” etc.
Well maybe just an article about “How to teach elementary school children is good and right”. Hopefully this chain of teacher writing can be useful for all colleagues.
