One reason a teacher cannot change and adapt to change and become more creative and innovative is what is known as mental block, a mental barrier that prevents a person from reaching the actual potential or goal he wants to achieve.

Such mental barriers can be due to several things. Generally can be due to past traumatic experiences, education or advice that is mistaken and repeated constantly so that a belief system that continues to carry over to adulthood. Such beliefs are then often present as a form of 'self-sabotage' which prevents a person from achieving what is desirable.

In the context of the current teaching and learning process, the mental barriers that teachers often encounter appear in phrases like "Times have changed, (and) I will not be able to follow them," or "Disciples are now only interested in gadgets and the Internet and are no longer interested in learning and listen to his master. "

The defensive-like phrases like "The child is now unruly," or "Pupils are now inclined to screw up and they have to follow the way of learning and teaching that I know." Or even the expression of frustration, "I can never follow and manage learning styles and student behaviors I. They're different! "

Of course, not all teachers are growing in the age of digital technology as it is today. Even if they grow in the age of digital technology, not necessarily all get adequate access to know, learn, and use the magic of digital technology in the learning process. However, by weighing the challenges before the eyes, of course also not something beautiful if the teacher just chooses to mourn and blame the situation. It is appropriate that teachers change.

Teachers must change the mindset of those who see change as a threat of change as an opportunity or challenge to conquer. For that, the teacher must find a way more creative and able to produce innovation in the learning process.
