Tell Me About Your Vacation!

Summer has finally ended and the students are now back to school. They have now leveled up to a higher year. Two girls from the fifth grade are excitedly talking beside each other inside their classroom.


Dana: Sam! I'm so glad that we are classmates again this year!
Sam: Same here, Dana. I believe this school year would be very fun and exciting too because I'm with my bff!
Dana: (smiled, took something from her bag and gave to Sam) Here's a souvenir!
Sam: (happily receives the turtle keychain) Wow! It's so cute! Thanks a lot, Dana... Ohh, please tell me about your vacation.
Dana: You're welcome. Sure! I and my family went to Cebu... it was great!
Sam: For real? That's so cool! How was it?
Dana: It was awesome! I wish you were there...
Sam: Tell me more... What did you do there?
Dana: We stayed in a resort hotel. It was so beautiful! I played and swam in the pool as well as in the beach a lot.
Sam: Well, I can see that! (points at Dana's uneven skin color)
Dana: (giggles) Hihi... well, that's a strong evidence..

Both of the girls laughed and continued on with their conversation.


Dana: How about you Sam? How was your vacation?
Sam: Well, I didn't go anywhere special with my family but I still had lots of fun.
Dana: That sounds great! What did you do?
Sam: My cousins actually spent their summer vacation in our house. So, I got to spend time with them. We had a picnic in the park and ate lots of ice cream!
Dana: Wow! Ice cream... I'd love that!
Sam: Me, too! Why don't we have some when class ends today!
Dana: Sure! Let's do that later!

The conversation of the two girls continued until their classroom were full of students. They said hello to their old and new classmates. And a few moments later, the first homeroom class for this school year started.
