Steemians, It's High Time We Fight Parental Negligence - Be Your Children's Best Friend

Want me to be frank? Some parents don't deserve being blessed with even a single child. This might sound rather harsh, but I'm sure you agree with me on this. In fact, some animals are worthy of having children more than some parents do due to their negligence.

Children are blessings from God. They tend to us when we are old, continue our legacy and bring glory to our family and our ancestor that are long gone. They are our future and our pride. They exist for us, we exist for them. And thinking about all these makes it more saddening to see many parents neglecting these divine blessings from God to cater for the less worthy things.

Some children are busy wandering around without a foreseeable great future ahead them. They have no aim or ambition. Some are either hawking or just playing around aimlessly while their mates are busy studying. And while their children are at this;

• Some parents don't even know how their children survive every day with it's dangers.
• Some parents left the children with the responsibility of taking care of themselves.
• Some parents even task the children to cater for the whole family.
• And some parents are totally abusing their children

What kind of future are we expecting for these pitiful children?
How do we stop them from becoming a nuisance for the future community?
Do we even think of this being fair?

Here are my advice for every parent reading this:

• Help your children with her school life and entire life.
• Help your children with their homework.
• Keep close watch to know when they need someone to talk to.
• Let your children see you as their best friend so they don't keep things from you.
• Ease their tensions and discuss the future with them.
• Help them in choosing a career and give them every support.

Remember, our community is our responsibility.
We have to think of a life for the children that were being left to wander around.
We have to do our part in ensuring every child is educated.
We have to do our part in ensuring that every child is fed, clothed and sheltered.
