Hai, educators!
Corruption is a social disease. Corruption is very dangerous and destructive to the life of the nation. In Indonesia, corruption is nothing new. The average official who occupies an important position is often involved in corruption.
Corruption is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit. Corruption may include many activities including bribery and embezzlement, though it may also involve practices that are legal in many countries. Government, or 'political', corruption occurs when an office-holder or other governmental employee acts in an official capacity for personal gain. Kaunas golden toilet case is a real-life example of corruption.
Corruption has a wide range, including collusion or nepotism. Reflecting on the current state of Indonesia, corruption is one of the biggest crimes that are often committed on purpose. For that, I think that the anti-corruption education is also one of the solutions in combating corruption. The students need to be given an understanding of the crime of corruption. They are the next generation who will lead this nation.
Then, how is this anti-corruption education developed? We know that schools do not yet have a field of anti-corruption studies to teach students. Although in Civic Education there are some discussions about corruption, but the portion is too small.
One of the proper steps in teaching anti-corruption to students is by integrating anti-corruption education in every subject. In this case, teachers should understand the legal concepts and perceptions of corruption. Then, these legal concepts and perceptions can be taught implicitly in their learning process. this is the most effective approach that teachers can make.
In addition to the integration model, anti-corruption education can also be taught in other ways. For example, models beyond learning (through extracurricular). This model prioritizes the processing as well as the planting of anti-corruption values through a student activity. The advantage of implementing this model is that students will gain values through concrete experiences. Students will be involved in the process of extracting life values through fun activities. Unfortunately, this model has weaknesses, such as the lack of a permanent structure within the educational and teaching framework of the school. In this model, companions are required to be compact and have the same perception to be conveyed to the students.
Another model is to familiarize anti-corruption in all school activities and atmosphere. Anti-corruption habituation is very important for students. This is because with the attitude of habituation eventually an activity will belong to the students in the future. Good habits will form a good human personality as well. Based on habituation that students will obey the rules that exist in school. Habituation at the school will be carried away in everyday life when at home and also when the students have grown up someday. Planting good habits is not easy, it can even take a long time. But the habit that is already embedded will also be difficult to change.
Corruption is a bad attitude and is not commendable. Well, Steemians! In Steemit, corrupt behavior is also inevitable! I think buying a vote is part of corrupt behavior. What do you think?
