Taj Mahal? Rome, Italy? Spain? ---- Nahhh. It's in Bacolod, Philippines!
The Ruins - Talisay, Bacolod taken with Oppo F1s
"Love at first sight", I whispered. I saw this beauty last September when I was assigned to Bacolod to conduct a training class. Who wouldn't fall in love with such site? These sites do still exist, I felt like a princess for a minute.
Another thing that made me fall in love with this structure was the fact that it carries a rich Filipino tradition and history. This site is a story in itself.
According to beliefs, there was once a bachelor, a rich bachelor, who owns hectares of property in Talisay, Negros Occidental. He was into real estate and loved seeing the world. He often visited places like Hong Kong in where he met a Portuguese woman named Maria Braga. They eventually fell in love, got married and had kids. However, Maria passed away while bearing their 11th child due to an accident. The bachelor wanted to move on so he built a mansion just close to their ancestral house in Talisay. Just like his love for Maria, the Ruins was perfectly made.

**Truly, this majestic site was made of love. **
I'm hoping to go back just so I can see the structure when it's night time since most people say it's much spectacular in the dark. Oh wow, Philippines. You truly are a gem!
