This is just a concern as the leader of team Uganda.I have witnessed personally and received phone calls of people's accounts taking very long to be approved,a time frame of up to 3 weeks.

As i promised i will be giving weekly updates on what is happening on Team Uganda.

The big news is that the team is insanely growing and am proud of all the people doing the great work.
We now have a big number of active members.
1. Event At Makerere University Scouts Team.
We had this invent organised by our new Steemian @shinejean who is a scout leader in Uganda.
This event happened almost 2 weeks ago and guess what..those accounts have not been approved!!!!

2. Tennis Steemit Event at Uganda Christian University.
This event also happened just after the above event and it was mainly organised by @yohan2on also a new leader in our team.
It is also unfortunate that all those accounts have not been approved! Now this is beginning to bug people especially me a non official Steem Ambassador Uganda.All the team members keep referring to me all these non account approval!

Steemit. Accounts Taking Long To Be Approved!
If you might be aware of the reason why i did not post an update last week,let me tell you below.
I always post updates with new members posts,unfortunately non of the guys have been approved!
I saw it not fit to post an update without any approved members!You might now be wondering why have i posted this though!
Great question,i posted this to ask for help from the Steemit community of how we can be helped to approve this accounts. If may be i can be directed to any help from the Steemit community.
If you have been following our Uganda tag.
https://steemit.com/hot/uganda we have not had any big event this last week! We are first waiting for the last 2 events accounts to be approved! Most of the folks have been doing one on ones though...some went to the streets and others door to door!
I ask the Steemit community to advice us on what to do to approve some of these accounts that have taken almost a month to be approved!
I have been and is still bugged by the Uganda community to find answers to the long wait.
I have almost run out of what to tell them,i always tell them.
Steemit is getting massive signups of late and its why the process is taking long!
How can i explain this to someone who has taken more than 3 weeks for his/her account to be approved.

This list below is of people who are waiting to be added to the Uganda community,what a boost this would be to us.

I would also appreciate a better reason for the delay in account approval from any experienced person on the Steem Blockchain
I am currently telling this folks that Steemit is experiencing massive traffic hence the delay!
I would love to be given a technical answer i can give to my team.

Hello @jaraumoses. You know, we have the same problem here in the UK too. It's one of the issues with Steemit at the moment, and my understanding is that it's one of the things that is being looked at by Steemit Inc, who ultimately are the only ones who can do anything about it. We unfortunately don't have any ability to do anything about it. You could try using steeminvite.com, but you will need to be able to fund it with some STEEM (as you need to delegate to the new account to be able to do it)...it does make for a very fast account opening though.
I believe that it's something being addressed in HF20. I really hope it is because it's one of the biggest problems on the Steem blockchain at the moment. I feel that with a strong Steem Ambassador programme in place, there is the opportunity to put together a business case for allowing direct referrals. However it isn't up to us, I really wish it was, because it would be the first thing I'd be looking at.
