Maverick's first trip to Terra Studios. @steemitmamas parent contest week 2 entry.

Maverick is only 5 and a half months old. So our family journey has just now begun. Which means so far, this our best first family mini vacation I guess. In our world everyday is a vacation. We are very fortunate to be living where we live in the Ozarks because we live close to Terra Studios.

Terra Studios is home of the Blue Bird of Happiness. Maybe you've seen one of these?

They make them here. We got to watch them being made in action.

Sadly the time of day it was the sun was beaming down through the window aimed right at the guy giving me this huge glare so I got the crappiest picture taken. But you can make out the guy and the orange molten glass blob that will soon become a Blue Bird of Happiness.

Here is what they look like fresh after being made before cooling. Pretty cool huh? I think so. It takes a full 24 hours for them to cool. Fun fact: No two Blue Birds of Happiness are the same either! They are all hand made individually so none are alike. Art in its truest form.

It was now time to go back outside and check out the festivities. We had Maverick pass through the little Hobbit door. Ok ok, not really but he still giggled seeing the little door. I can't wait till he is big enough to actually walk through it HA HA. I'm sure I'll be bloging that in the future :-).

It was like they knew we were coming. They got out their rainbow flags and everything for us HA HA! This place is the coolest! There is tons you can do at Terra Studios.

Like giant Chess! They have giant Checkers and Tic-tac-toe too. LOL that was a tongue tie.

In the middle is the giant chalk wall. As you can see it was a very busy day today HA HA.

There was not enough room left really for me to chalk any stupid shit so Bridget just wrote Maverick's name on the wall. Last time I came here was last year before Maverick was born. I remember writing a few stupid sentences like, "By the time you read this you've already read it." Or, "Ignore These Four Words." Or, "The following statement is true. The proseeding statement was false." This is a family place so you have to keep it clean if you know what I mean HA HA. I'll save the funnier vulgarities for bathroom stalls HA HA.

There is the Blue Bird Gazebo.

The walls are literally made with Blue Birds of Happiness.

One by one the gnome and hobbit villages will steal your sanity.

Yes folks, this place is on my list for places to trip balls at. Really big smile!

Well that's about it. Maverick is still too small for the rest of the fun stuff but he still had a good time. We all had a good time. You can't have a bad time at Terra Studios.

So if you are an off grid nomadic family that homeschools and are planning on traveling through Northwest Arkansas, you have to check out this place!!! Maybe sign up for an art class? They have all kinds of different art classes you can take happening through out the year. Like pottery, wire wrapping, jewelry making, working with glass. Maybe even learn how they make their famous Blue Birds of Happiness?
