Cycling Rancho San Vicente park in South San Jose, CA

Hello all, this is my mtb ride from May 2nd at Rancho San Vicente park in South San Jose. (Loaded after a few days of crypto analysis). The shot below is from the trail above Calero Reservoir.

The ride was 25 miles and 1.5k of climbing on a 70* f day. Pretty much perfect weather for cycling!

GPS data is from a Garmin Vivoactive HR and uploaded to Strava.

The trail is mostly a 'double' track that weaves it's way through the green foothills which are just starting to dry out before summer.

One of the bridges built over a small creek on the trail. The mtb is a 2010 Norco Team Carbon hardtail. It suits this place as all of the trails are fairly smooth.

Lot of small yellow flowers to add color to the trail

I passed 2 deers which both ran away and up a hill. One of them ran to the top of a small ridge and was watching me from above... Since this park is fairly new, they are not used to seeing mtb'ers. I also saw a wild turkey and 2 small black snakes which both squirmed their way into the grass.

Testing out the Galaxy S8 on this purple flower...

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the post. If you ever visit California, we can ride!

The lake, it's blue water and the greeny surrounding are looking very beautiful. The picture of deer and the purple flower make your total package an outstanding look. Very nice photography. Thank you.
