Chapter One: A name day to remember
Chapter Two
The First Awakening
The home of the village elder was situated perfectly in the center of Tranquility. Looking like a lighthouse watching over the village, His house sat atop a mountainous stone, outthrust from the ground. The steep pathway leading up, corkscrewed through the outer edge of the rock, three full rotations before, eventually exiting to Karlios’ home. His dwelling appeared to be made from massive logs milled and laid together, containing four thick glass windows, but in reality this was not the case. For the home of a master mage is never what it appears.
Keth walked up the path to his childhood home. Running his hand along the perfectly formed rock brought back forgotten memories of past name days. Looking out at the village he has always know as home he thought. I wonder what life in the Out-Lands would be like. As quickly as the thought came, his excitement of progressing in his training won out, and he ran the last rotation of the corkscrew.
Pausing for a moment before entering the home, trying to clear his mind from witnessing Azra’s revealed form. Stay focused, you can’t transfigure if your thinking about... Her perfect curves. The wondrous way the color changed as it came to that perfect point. NO… STOP... Clinching his eyes in a force of will, he took in a deep breath. My mind must be free, I have to focus. He opened his eyes and looked to Azra’s house. She wouldn’t like you thinking about that, your not her husband, you haven't even asked her father permission to court her. He told himself off. Once I can start transfiguring, then maybe I can talk to him. But for now thinking of this will not help me. Closing his eyes again and settling his mind. His act of will payed off. He inhaled deeply, filling his lungs to full capacity. After holding it for a time. What happened next changed everything.
When Keth finally released his breath it was as if his mind shot out from his lungs and into you world. Traveling from his lungs he shot out the distance of 100 paces. He found himself above Azra’s home, below he could see her light blueish gray form lying on her bed motionless. One hand holding her brow, the other clutching her chest. Peering through the walls he saw the motionless form of her father his light yellowish gray form appeared to be mid step, walking to a door. Keth tried to turn but could not find his body. He searched for his senses but they were absent. He tried to wiggle his toes, nothing. Frantically he tried to do anything, but nothing was his only reply. He was trapped.
Eventually he stopped trying, but rather just looked back down. For in all his perceived eternity of trying he had forgotten the predicament he found himself in. He then noticed that Azra’s father had completed the step, and was now in the entryway of her room. He then looked to Azra and she was no longer holding your brow but was now sat upright facing her father. Keth then turned and looked upon the whole village. All of it’s inhabitants gave off different shades of color. Most were of a dull shade of blue, yellow, or brown. A few were of a more orange hue. At this point he had lost track of where he was in relation to his knowledge of the village. He was just flying around taking in the sights. After circling back he saw an aura of great brilliance in comparison to the others. Who, or what is that. The world around him collapsed.
Keth opened his eyes. Looking down at his hands and body, he felt strange. It had been a lifetime of failed attempts to interact with his body. To suddenly be back, everything felt so foreign. The sensation of rubbing his fingers together, made him ball up his fist in disgust. He could feel the blood moving through his veins, it felt as tiny shards of broken glass were being circulated through his body. This experience made him feel nauseous. He violently projected stomach bile out of his body. The acid felt like fire tearing through his chest and mouth. The sensation of flames engulf his mouth and throat. The blood pumping to his brain screamed out in pain. The torment was near absolute. His vision darkened.
Breath. spoke a voice in his mind.
But I have to die to make this all stop, I can’t bear it. First the eternal prison of nothing, now awakening to this hell. Keth concluded death was the only escape.
BREATH. commanded the voice.
Keth gasped in the air like a new born, tasting it’s sweet life giving force for the very first time. He struggled and coughed out the first breath and then pulled in the life. In, out, in, out, in, out. He could feel the oxygen levels return to his brain. The fire within him began to reside. After a minute, he spit out the taste of the bile. He looked down at his hands, rubbed them together. Everything was back to normal. He pinched his fore finger and thumb between his eyes and began to cry. He was a new man.

This is the Second chapter of my Steemit Novel.
I will be attempting to complete the next chapter as soon as possible, but I have no idea as to exact time tables of when this will be. Your support would certainly help start a fire under me and help this project move forward with more force.
If you find this work of value, please consider Resteeming it. I am but a tiny fish in a massive ocean of talent and spam alike, and will very much appreciate any help I can get at getting my work seen.

I would appreciate any advise you may have. I know that I am not the most skilled of writers. I am attempting to refine my work and would value the advice of any "editors."
I am taking my time reading it but so far I like what I have seen. (May be some questions later but great grammar technique thus far) Upvoting this as well as chapter 1

Thank you very much. I'm happy to answer any questions, you may have. My writing skills are very rusty and the style more than likely will shift till finally coming to rest in that sweet spot.
This chapter was not supposed to be this short. In fact didn't even plan on having these events unfold in the way that they did. Seemingly while writing, it just sort of formed itself. I couldn't just move of to the next part of the story after something like this happened. It needed to be set into it's own chapter.
If you know anyone who might find this of interest please send them my way. It's hard to find the time to write while also trying to build a following. Let's just say that my Wife nor my body may tolerate my staying up till almost three in the morning, for much longer.

No, I'm new here and had seen it in posts, but assumed it was some sort of pay to play thing, or a bot. After looking at your comment, briefly read up on it. It looks more like a club or community. Would you recommend it? I'm still trying to learn the ropes here. I'm not not a member of anything yet. I will look more at it tomorrow, it's getting rather late here. I would appreciate any of your thoughts on the matter.
