Scaling technique inspired by koi fish movement

So this tutorial is the application of my haute couture design.

If you visited my previous tutorial about my design that was inspired of koi fish movement you can see there the steps on how to draw it.

Materials to be use:

  • Chosen fabric any color 
  • tulle 
  • Wooden template any size
  • soldering iron 
  • circle shape template 
  •  garment pattern with the sketch of the koi fish 

Steps:

  1. attached the tulle fabric to your wooden template.

  3. get your circle template and used it to mold it into your chosen fabric.

  5. use the soldering iron to cut the fabric perfectly. And collect a lot of the cutted tiny circle to resembles the scale of the fish .

  7.  Attached your pattern underneath the tulle which you attached at the wooden template, the pattern with the sketch koi fish use it as guide on applying those tiny circle template.

  9. arrange the color circle temple you pick and each 1/2 of the circle overlap the other circle to create that scale illusion.

  11. to finalize stitch all of the circle template fabric to create that scale illusion and to add more dimension put some crystals.
