7 World's Continents Photo Challenge - week #15 - vote for your favorite picture of the week!

Hello fellow Steemians,

I will be closing the 15th weekly contest of my 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge by announcing the winner of the weekly round on Monday. The winner is voted by you based on the upvotes from the individual continents winner announcements. The winner of the weekly round receives 20 SBD from me and then enters into a monthly and possibly yearly challenge to compete for 200 SBD in total.

So far I have given out 330 SBD to the weekly and monthly winners and some $2,500 worth of upvotes to winning participants. Now you have a chance to determine who will be the winner over the next two days by upvoting the below winner announcements. The competition is heating up and I am getting excited to see which image will be the winning one. The choice is yours! :)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #15 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

Streets of Bangkok
Bangkok was my last destination before returning home after 18 months of travelling. The busy city that has so many faces was a fascination place to visit. This shot taken from a bridge connecting two of Bangkok's major shopping malls captures the traffic in the large city.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #15 - winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

I love Australia. In 2016 I had the pleasure to travel along Australia's east coast for five weeks and stopped at many wonderful places. This photo here was taken at Fingal Head south of Brisbane. Those interlocking basalt columns look great with the sea rushing around them. Then I was also very lucky with the light that morning. The glowing sky was the icing on the cake.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Anctarctia and the world´s oceans week #15 - winner announcement!

@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and the world´s oceans entry:

Upon arrival into the Antarctic Peninsula we watched this large iceberg pass by. The beauty of the Antarctic landscape is mind blowing and on every minute of the trip you are overwhelmed by your surroundings.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #15 - winner announcement!

@narchuk African Wednesday entry:

Africa is not only sands and palm trees. There are several best dive sites in the world. One of them is located in Sudan. Clear water. A lot of marine life. And huge caves and caverns, where you can see resting sharks.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #15 - winner announcement!

@skiesandsports European Thursday entry:

Wast Water at Sunrise
This is one of my favourite ever landscapes, of a place that really is special to me. My wife and I found it by accident on our honeymoon in 2012, we searched for years after that but couldn't find the lake until this year! (It's in Cumbria, UK!)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #15 – winner announcement!

@lename North American Friday entry:

On my way to Staten Island
This picture of lower Manhattan was taken on a cloudy day back in November while I was on the ferry to Staten Island. It is worth noticing that some of the buildings, like the One World Trade Centre, are so high that are touching the clouds. To the right, you can see the Brooklyn Bridge too.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – South American Saturday week #15 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo South American entry:

This is a photo I took during sunrise from one of the dunes surrounding Huacachina in Peru. This is a very busy place during day with dune buggies howling around. But early in the morning it feels so peaceful.

So many incredible pictures! It is hard to choose a favorite one but I´ll go with the Australian image by @mibreit-photo !

True! The quality of the images is constantly increasing as the challenge is starting to attract top photographers from around the world. Thank you for stopping by. Have a good one. Tomas

For this week, I vote for @mibreit-photo’s South American entry: sand dunes in Huacachina, Peru 🇵🇪. I was at the same place, and I like his shot that is of totally different style than mine. His Australian entry is awesome too.

Great pictures, look very nice actually

My vote goes to Wast Water at Sunset. The colors and hue of the sky is incredible. There is something about lake and mountain pictures that just grab your attention and make it spectacular.

As always it is hard to select from the great entries. My vote is for @mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry.

@mibreit-photo

I'd just given away all my shields and awards to this photo!

I'm from the land of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.

Should Mt. Everest picture be here in the list of competition, I'd still vote for the Peru's picture. It's not just about the image, but also about how beautifully it's captured.
To me, that picture wins.

Thanks a lot. Hopefully I will someday photograph in the Himalaya too. I guess there are few places more spectacular
