Steemit Photo Challenge #48 - Ocean - Entry 2 - 'Beauty from Within'steemCreated with Sketch.

in steemitphotochallenge •  7 years ago  (edited)

Here is my 2nd entry to the #steemitphotochallenge #48 for the theme Ocean.

Title: 'Beauty from within
This is by far my favourite angle to showcase the beauty of our ocean from below, with the sun beaming light from the heavens to feed the marvel of life that thrive beneath. All life comes from the ocean, and all life will perish without it. The ocean is literally the beating heart of our planet, and if we wish to keep our planet beautiful and healthy for the sake of our own existence, we need to start looking from here, from within.

And lastly if I could, as this week's theme holds strongly in my heart, if you'd like to see more of these ocean beauty, please feel free to follow my #onebreathonephoto series.

Thank you @jamtaylor for running this awesome project and @berniesanders for sponsoring.

Looking forward to the next #steemitphotochallenge!

Have a great day! 😃

Wow this is one of a hell photo shot! Love it ;) Where exactly was it taken?

Thank you @redtravels, Im glad you like it! this photo was taken at Lady Elliot Island in Australia. One of the southernmost tip of the Great Barrier Reef. It's a sanctuary for these turtles!

Oh my god, this is sooo beautiful! :D

Thank you @anna-redhead, coming from you I'm very flattered!

You're an amazing photographer friend! This is unbelievable!

Thank you for those kind words @thomasmmaker!

Damn it man! You're gonna win this thing! Unless I find a mermaid or something like that I have no chance against you...

Haha thank you for the compliments! Matter of fact I do have a photo of a mermaid, i'll probably post it soon on the one breath series :)

Seeing is believing! Don't come with a pic of a woman dressed as a mermaid or I will have to show you the rare pic of a doggofish... my dog dressed as a fish! Now, if you really got a pic of a real mermaid (still doubt it) I will become a type of "oceanic Indiana Jones" and I will take a flight there (like 40 hours flight... ugh!) to search for that creature. Now, we all know I'm not Indiana Jones and there's no such thing as mermaids and the lower part of my body will become numb after all those flying hours... so, don't make me go there to see a girl in a bikini... I can see plenty of that here and it's just 10 min away from my house... BTW, my dog didn't like the disguise idea...actually he was watching while I was writing all this 😅

I knew it! A woman with mermaid swimsuit! There goes my Indiana Jones ocean style adventure! BTW, nice wifey!

She actually works as a 'professional' mermaid so it's different to those fake ones out there lol

Hmm... So it's kind of a legit mermaid... without the side effects of killing man... wait, that means I have to go there dressed as Indiana Jones? No, right? Exactly, no! I knew it! Good conversation, bye! 😅

Wow.. everything is within a frame.. so lively yet hallucinating.. i do hold my breath while reading the caption and looking at the photo.. Great job Kohei!

Thanks Apple! 🍏 I should write a longer caption next time for you to practice your breath hold haha

Bastard.. but please do so🍏🙏🏻

After looking at the small preview I didn't expect to see the turtle! Love that angle too :)

Yeah it would be nice if @steemit can show the preview in full instead of cropping just the top part for vertical images. Or at least allow us to choose. Im sure someone will develop that one day :)

Yea, and you are not the first person that said that!
In the other hand.... there would be no more surprises ;)

That's true, and I think the surprise factor worked for this particular photo :)

This is really nice. I love how well exposed the turtle is.

Thank you @rockjon! Yeah that day the sun and visibility was perfect! (and the location!)
